La puerquita con una cola fugitiva

Original Publisher: Pratham Books

Author: Parinita Shetty
Illustrator: Parvati Pillai
Translator: Carla Pérez
A la puerquita Pongal le encanta dormir. ¡A veces
duerme todo el día!

Sin duda su cola se aburre fácilmente.

Un día, cuando Pongal se despierta de su siesta de

mediodía, su cola no se encuentra por ningún
lugar. ¡Se ha ido por una aventura sin ella!

2/17
La puerquita se siente tonta
sin su colita, así que decide ir
a buscarla.

3/17
¡Escrrooonch! "Este
bosque está demasiado
desastroso", dice Pongal.

¡Aaaaay! Se tropieza con

una rama.

¡Purrum! Cae
en un arbusto.

4/17
"¿Alguien ha visto mi cola?",
Pongal pregunta.

"¿Por qué no usas un hongo

como cola en su lugar?",
responde Langur.

"¡Jump!", dice Pongal. "¡Pero

yo quiero mi cola otra vez!"

Se va a buscar a
otro lugar.

5/17
¡Uuuf! "¡Esta ciudad es
demasiado ruidosa!", dice
Pongal.

¡Biip, biip! Esquiva el

serpenteo de un taxi.

¡Driing, driing! Intenta

pasar por debajo de una
bicicleta.

6/17
"¿Alguien ha visto mi cola?",
pregunta Pongal.

"¿Por qué no usas un globo como

cola en su lugar?", responde el
cuervo.

"¡Aaaah!", dice Pongal. "¡Pero

quiero mi cola!".

Se va a buscar a otro lugar.

7/17
¡GRROOOMPF! "¡Esta cueva está
demasiado oscura!", dice
Pongal.

¡CLIC-CLAC! Cuidadosamente
camina hacia dentro de la cueva.

¡KARAAAAK! Se cae sobre las

rocas.

"¿Alguien ha visto mi
cola?", pregunta Pongal.

8/17
"¿Por qué no usas una estalactita
como cola en su lugar?", responde el
murciélago.

"¡UUUFF!", dice Ponga. "¡Pero quiero

mi cola otra vez!".

Se va a buscar a otro lugar.

9/17
¡ESPLISH-ESPLOSH!
"¡Está demasiado
mojado debajo del
océano!, dice Pongal.

¡FUM-FUM! Algunos
peces coloridos quieren
bailar con Pongal.

10/17
¡JUUUSH! Se esconde detrás del
coral.

"¿Alguien ha visto mi cola?",

pregunta Pongal.

"¿Por qué no usas algas como

cola en su lugar?", responde la
tortuga.

"¡IIIIUUUUK!", dice Pongal.

"¡Pero yo quiero mi cola otra
vez!".

Se va a buscar a otro lugar.

11/17
¡PLONK! "¡En este desierto hace
demasiado calor!", dice Pongal.

¡FUUUUSH! No se da cuenta de que

está sentada sobre una duna.

¡JUUUM! Rueda hasta abajo.

"¿Alguien ha visto mi
cola?", pregunta
Pongal.

12/17
"¿Por qué no usas un cactus
como cola en su lugar?",
"¡Aaaaaooon!", chilla Pongal.
pregunta el camello.
"¡Pero quiero mi cola otra vez!"

Se va a buscar a otro lugar.

13/17
¡BEEERRR! "¡Hace demasiado frío
en la cima de la montaña!

¡AAAAAY! El resto del mundo está

bien abajo.

¡FOMP-FOMP! Retrocede antes

de que se sienta demasiado
mareada.

14/17
"¿Alguien ha visto mi cola?",
pregunta Pongal.

"¿Por qué no usas un calcetín

como cola en su lugar?, pregunta
el búfalo.

Pongal mira su nueva cola.

15/17
"Es muy bonita", dice Pongal. Ella recuerda
todas las otras colas que ha intentado usar.

¡JARRUMP! "¡Definitivamente no voy a usar un

cactus otra vez!"

Pero tener tantas colas diferentes es

verdaderamente divertido. Todo el mundo
tiene que usar solo una cola para siempre, se
da cuenta.

Pongal llega a una decisión. La cola puede

viajar por el mundo y tener sus aventuras. La
puerquita se quedará en casa y tendrá su
propias aventuras.
