INTRODUCCIÓN

Explain what the project is about:

This project was for the science fair of our school, the fair was about the different
systems of the human body. There were different teams that were made up of
whole group classrooms, so it was a big challenge to make everybody get
organized to get a good result. The main task was that every team had to choose
one system and make it into a working model, to then be able to explain the
functioning of it.
In our group we decided to work with the nervous system, one of the most
complex, but yet important of the human body. We had challenges to get to the
final result, but in the end we worked through them and we were all really
satisfied with it.

How do we decided to do the project:

To choose our system of the human body we had a lot of trouble and discussions,
since we had an idea and suddenly we had a better one of another system; so by
the time we decided on one system, the teacher told us it was already taken,
leaving us with no other option than the nervous system. But we made it work.

Problems we encountered:
1. They disagree on the issue
2. There were colleagues who did not want to pay their part
3. There were problems with the distribution of money since there were
colleagues who bought things without warning and that made us lose part
of the video
4. They could not agree on how it was going to be decorated.
5. We had little time to settle things
6. We didn't know how to get the whole group to cooperate in
accommodating things
7. We did not know how we were going to accommodate the screens

How we monitored the progress:

During this project the progress was checked by the teacher and almost all of the
classmates. All the teams try to have evidence of work in each class, if it was
possible of course. For the first weeks we want to have an idea of what we want to
do, talking about what system we choose and the theme we want to do for the
decorations and the activities. Then we want to have a preview of the idea of the
model, the materials that would be needed for that and the display.
During the process of the project we were constantly checking what it was
missing, like materials, money, etc… We also take pictures, worked in team and try
to do our best effort, in investigation, model, display and of course presenters.

Here is what each person did.

PROJECT

TEAM MODEL
For this part, we had people that volunteered to do the working model; since our
topic was the nervous system, we wanted our model to represent the process of
how the whole nervous system works, from a nerve to an actual response from
the brain to send back again. The model team used LED lights to represent this
journey of the stimulus, they used a stripe for the spinal cord, and a brain shaped
mold and more lights to represent this upper part, the LED lights were
programmed to explain this process. For the body, they used styrofoam shaped
like the upper part of the body and also for the head, it was of course decorated to
look more like it.
In addition to the main working model, we made two secondary models to
represent the two main divisions of the nervous system: The CNS and PNS.

TEAM PRESENTERS
The presenters of our project were volunteers. They had to learn all the speech
made by the information team and present it in a unique way so that we could
win. They also had to learn how to use the model and the games for better visual
and understanding effect.
TEAM INFORMATION

Our team played the role of seeking information and creating a strong
presentation to support our science fair model. We conducted research,
organized the information coherently, and presented our scientifically supported
project. During the research phase, we made sure to collect relevant and
up-to-date information that would support our model and the findings we
wanted to communicate.

We collected information about our topic. First of all we had to be sure that
people knew about the nervous system, so we proceeded to search for
information about it, from what it is, to common diseases that affect it. As an
addition, we also investigated a rare disease called "Huntington's disease" which
helped our presenting team to have the attention of the juries by giving extra
information.

Information applied to the stand:

TEAM STAND
What was the Stand had a space theme with lights to highlight the colors and
spotlights of the model, different information was placed on the sides of the
partition, one with information from the SNC and the other with information from
SNP. The work of the Stand also included the creation of some activities
The first game was all-target shooting in which previously decorated cards and a
nerf gun were used; The objective was for them to throw a card with a question
and if they answered it correctly they were given a prize.
The second game was a roulette, in which 4 colors came, depending on the color
they were asked a type of question.
The third game was "What's in the box?" in which different objects were used
and without seeing you had to guess what was in the box; this in relation to the
sense of touch provided by the nervous system.
For the prizes of these games, gummies with chili were given resembling neurons
and some Carlos Quinto for those who were missing.
Distinctive were some neon bracelets and some rings with led focus, the bracelets
resembling a nerve and the bulbs some neurons; Finally, for the judges, they
were given some boxes with a cookie in the shape of a neuron, a strawberry milk
and a ring and a bracelet.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, participating in the science fair was an exhilarating experience,

showcasing prudence of teamwork, also highlighting the challenges involved in
managing the entire process. Waiting to get her as a team role, the sense of
camaraderie, and made the journey enjoyable. Collaborating with posts in our
classmates, a low-dose to combine our strength, share ideas and learn from one
another.
It did not bring its difficulties. Missing in the process is another meticulous
planning, coordination, and time management. Balancing a regular cause we
were committed alongside with our clinical practices required dedication for
perseverance and effective communication.
Participating in the science fair, allowed us to have our understanding of the
science method, and develop critical thinking skills. We learned to analyze data,
draw conclusions, come over center findings effectively, and also apply all our
knowledge about anatomy in it.
In the end, the signs proved to be a forwarding project , an enjoyable and
challenging endeavor. Brought us together as a team.
