Levantar o elevar

a ambos criterios.
mensuales (véase 6. 6 a seguir).
Revisar:
No hay daño de estera o piñón
No hay colgadores perdidos
No hay estiramiento excesivo, cilindros tensores no tocaron fondo
Ninguna expansión excesiva de forma lateral
Buen rastreo
Movimiento suave

Etapas 000 a 007

Read these operating instructions without fail before installing and starting the
pressure transmitter.
1. Important details for your information
Keep the operating instructions in a place that is accessible to all users at any time.
The following installation and operating instructions have been compiled by us with great care but
it is not feasible to take all possible applications into consideration. These installation and opera-
tion instructions should meet the needs of most pressure measurement applications. If questions
remain regarding a specific application, you can obtain further information:

The product data sheet is designated as 8013162
With special model number please note specifications in the delivery note.
If the serial number gets illegible (e.g. by mechanical damage or repainting), the retraceability of the
instrument is not possible any more
SICK pressure switches s are carefully designed and manufactured using state-of-the-art techno-
logy. Every component undergoes strict quality and environmental inspection before assembly
and each instrument is fully tested prior to shipment. Our environmental management system is
certified to DIN EN ISO 14001.
Use of the product in accordance with the intended use PBS:
Use the pressure switch (indoor and outdoor) to transform the pressure into an electrical signal.
Knowledge required
Install and start the pressure switch only if you are familiar with the relevant regulations and direc-
tives of your country and if you have the qualification required. You have to be acquainted with the
rules and regulations on measurement and control technology and electric circuits, since this pres-
sure switch is „electrical equipment“ as defined by EN 50178. Depending on the operating condi-
tions of your application you have to have the corresponding knowledge, e.g. of aggressive media.
4. Function
The pressure prevailing within the application is transformed into a switching output or
standardised electrical signal through the deflection of the diaphragm, which acts on the sensor
element with the power supply fed to the transmitter. This electric signal changes in proportion to
the pressure and can be evaluated correspondingly.

Switch function
Hysteresis function
If the system pressure fluctuates around the nominal value, the
hysteresis keeps the switch status of the outputs stable. When the
system pressure is rising, the output switches when it reaches the
respective set point (SP); if the pressure falls again, the output swit-
ches back only if the reset point (RP) is reached.
Window function
The window function allows the monitoring of a defined range.
If the system pressure is between the window high (FH) and the
window low (FL), the output is activated (NO) respective
deactivated (NC).
The pressure must remain for at least this time to enable the switch
to operate. The switching output does not immediately change its
status when it reaches the switching event, but only after the delay
time has elapsed. If the switching event no longer pertains when the
delay time has elapsed, the switching output does not change.

Process Data
The SICK pressure switch has one or two digital outputs. Both switching outputs are transmitted as
process data via IO-Link. The switching output Q2 is also available at pin 2 of the M12 connector. In
the SIO mode the switching output C/Q1 is available at pin 4 of the M12 connector.
In the communication mode this pin is exlusively used for communication. Information from the
pressure switch are transmitted using "frame type 2.2". Bit0 contains the switching state of switch
Q1 whereas bit2 contains the switching state of switch Q2. The digit 1 corresponds to the logical
state "closed" or to +24V on the corresponding output, respectively.
The remaining 14 bits reflect the analog measurement value of the pressure switch. The analog
pressure measurement value is mapped to a range of 0 to 10000 (digits). The lower end of the
measuring range (MBA) corresponds to the value 1000 whereas the upper end of the measuring
range (MBE) corresponds to 9000. Hence, it is required to know the measuring range of the sensor
in order to translate the transmitted continuous measurement signal into the actual pressure.

Operating Instructions
5. Transport, packaging and storage / 6. Commissioning, ... TBS
5.2 Packaging
Do not remove packaging until just before mounting.
Keep the packaging as it will provide optimum protection during transport (e.g. change in installation site,
sending for repair).
5.3 Storage
WARNING!
Before storing the instrument (following operation), remove any residual media. This is of
particular importance if the medium is hazardous to health, e.g. caustic, toxic, carcinogenic,
radioactive, etc.
6. Commissioning, operation
6.1 Mounting
The sealing faces at the temperature switch and the measuring point always have to be clean.
Only ever screw in, or unscrew, the instrument via the spanner flats. Never use the case as a working
surface.

6. Commissioning, operation
Operating Instructions TBS
The correct torque depends on the dimensions of the process connection and the sealing used
(form/material).
When screwing in, do not cross the threads.
The instrument must be grounded via the process connection.
Attach the electrical connector and screw it in hand-tight.
For high process or ambient temperatures appropriate care must be taken
to ensure that the housing temperature of the device (taken at the hexa-
gonal flats of the process connection) during permanent operation does
not exceed 80 °C.
The plastics housing of the TBS can be rotated against the stainless steel housing
with the electrical connection. There is a perceptible stop/end position (in both
directions). Under all circumstances the head must not be rotated beyond these
stops/end positions.
Seal
Correct sealing of the process connections with straight threads must be made using suitable flat gaskets,
sealing rings or profile sealings. The sealing of tapered threads (e.g. NPT threads) is made by providing the thread
with additional sealing material such as, for example, PTFE tape (EN 837-2).

Hysteresis function
If the system temperature fluctuates around the set point, the hysteresis
keeps the switching status of the outputs stable. With increasing system
temperature, the output switches when reaching the switch point (SP).
With system temperature falling again, the output will not switch back before
the reset point (RP) is reached.
Window function
The window function allows for the control of a defined range.
When the system temperature is between window High (FH) and window Low
(FL), the output switches on.
When the system temperature is outside window High (FH) and window Low
(FL), the output does not switch on.

6. Commissioning, operation
Operating Instructions TBS
If the switching event is no longer present after the delay time, the switch
output does not change.
The output only switches back when the system temperature has fallen
down to the reset point (PR) and stays at or below the reset point (RP) for
at least the pre-set delay time (DR). Fig.: Delay times
If the switching event is no longer present after the delay time, the switch
output does not change.

PRESTOFLEX ®
Prestoflex plastic belting has a connectorless construction, made up of plastic modules, which snap or
unsnap together for quick and uncomplicated repairs.
Caution: The temperature of the belt module should not be below 32 F (0° C) when installing or
disconnecting.
To assemble belt you will need: A screwdriver or metal rod that will slip into the oval holes on the
surface on the belt. This tool will only be used as a lever, to make assembly easier than with hands only.
Make sure take up is in least extended position, to allow for belt elongation when tension is applied to
conveyor.

Safety Precautions for Plastic Belting
Ashworth's hybrid belts and plastic belts contain thermoplastic components that can
burn. If exposed to an open flame or to temperatures above stated specifications, belts
may decompose and emit toxic fumes. Do not expose plastic belts to extreme
temperatures or to an open flame. Additonally, these belts should NOT be used
following any process, such as an oven, where products could be ignited before being
placed on the belt. Refer to the appropriate Material Safety Data Sheet for other
precautions and emergency response information.
