En inglés estudiamos las estructuras del uso del “Going to “y el auxiliar “Will”, ambas
estructuras se usan para hablar del futuro. Ahora vamos a establecer la diferencia entre
las dos. Veamos:
El Futuro con “WILL” se utiliza para hacer predicciones, es decir, para hablar de un futuro no
planificado o incierto.
PARA QUE SIRVE
Se utiliza para hablar de predicciones de futuro basadas en cosas que no son tan evidentes.

Ejemplo: I think the weather will be great this summer (Yo creo que el clima será maravilloso este
verano).
También utilizamos esta estructura para hacer decisiones espontáneas. Ejemplo: I am tired. I will go
to bed (Estoy cansado.Iré a dormir )

Cuando hacemos promesas. Ejemplo: I promise. I will go to the party (Prometo. Yo iré a la fiesta).

Cuando ofrecemos algo. Ejemplo: I’ll help you with your homework (Te ayudaré con tu tarea)

Debemos tener en cuenta que “WILL” es un auxiliar o un modal que es aquel que siempre va a
acompañar a un verbo en su forma base para construir oraciones en tiempo futuro.

We use will to talk about dreams (También usamos “Will” para hablar acerca de nuestros sueños)

EXAMPLES:

1.- Someday I will buy a big house (Este es mi sueño.) Algún día compraré una casa grande

Del Mundo.

We use will to talk about PROMISES. (También usamos will para hablar acerca de las promesas.

2.- GOD will take care of our family (Esta es su promesa). Dios cuidará de nuestra familia.

We use will to talk about FACTS. También usamos will para hablar acerca de hechos.

We use “Going to “to talk about the near future (Usamos going to para hablar del futuro cercano).

EXAMPLES

1.- They`re going to have lunch at noon (Esto va a suceder muy pronto). Ellos van a almorzar al medio día.

2.- We are going to go to the fair tomorrow. (Esto va a suceder pronto). Vamos a ir la feria mañana.

3.- I am going to clean my apartment tonight (Esto va a suceder pronto). Voy a limpiar el apartamento esta noche.

We use “Going to “to talk about Plans ( Usamos going to para hablar de nuestros planes).

1.- We`re going to spend Christmas at my grandma’s house (Este es mi plan) Vamos a pasar la navidad
en la casa de mi abuela.

 We use “Going to “to talk about Predictions ( Usamos going to para hablar de las predicciones).
Predicción es anunciar un hecho futuro.

EXAMPLES

PREDICTIONS

1.- You`re going to do great in your job interview (Esta es mi predicción). Te va a ir bien en tu entrevista de trabajo.

2.- They`re going to get divorce (Esta es mi predicción) Ellos se van a divorciar

• Usamos “will” para hablar de Sueños, • Usamos “Going to” para hablar de un

 QUE DEBO RECORDAR
1.- Esta estructura con el auxiliar Will puede ir acompañada de verbos como “think “(pensar)
“Hope “(esperar) “Imagine” (Imaginar) ejemplos: I think I’ll buy a car next year (Yo creo
Que compraré un carro nuevo el próximo año.

2.- Otros aspectos que debemos tener en cuenta son los siguientes: Recuerda que “Will”
Siempre va seguido de un verbo en su forma base. Ejemplo: Will play, Will study, Will go,
Will dance, Will read etc.

3.- Recuerda que el auxiliar “Will” lo utilizamos con todos los pronombres personales: I, you,
He, She, It, We, You, They.

4.- Este tiempo verbal va acompañado de expresiones que hacen referencia al futuro como
Es el caso de: tomorrow, next month, next year, next weekend, next week etc.

5.- La estructura con el “Going to” debemos tener en cuenta dos aspectos importantes:

1.- Usamos las palabras (AM, IS, ARE) que son las formas del presente del verbo SER o
ESTAR, Veamos sus significados.

Am: Significa SOY o ESTOY

AM Se emplea con el pronombre personal I
IS: Significa ES o ESTÁ
Are: Significa SON o ESTÁN IS Se emplea con los pronombres personales He, She, It
ARE Se emplea con los pronombres personales You, We, they.

2.- Usamos “Going to “para expresar una idea futura más un verbo en presente simple.
Ahora vamos a realizar las siguientes actividades con base en el tema del future simple
con “Will” and “Going to “.

A TALE ABOUT CORONAVIRUS

Guillermina was 7 years old and lived with her parents and her grandmother.
One day at school the teacher told them something that took everyone by surprise. A
disease came to the city and they would not be able to leave the house, not be so close to
their friends or family for a while. The teacher explained that a virus called coronavirus that
was discovered a short time ago, it is called like that because seen from a microscope it is
like a crown with spikes, many of the symptoms are like those of the flu, dry cough, fever,
shortness of breath. And Guillermina asked:
How to defend ourselves from the virus? And the teacher answered: The first thing we
need is to wash our hands very often for at least 20 seconds; put on a mask, cover us

with the elbow when sneezing and do not touch our faces, because it is very easy for
germs to stick to us, but above all, we stay at home to avoid getting infected. That day
when Guillermina returned home, she locked herself in her room and tried to think about
how to free herself from the coronavirus and said: If I stay out of your reach, you can´t
make me sick then Guillermina ran to wash her hands, put on her mask and stayed at
home studying judiciously to protect herself, her grandmother and her family from the
