2. PRESENTACIÓN

Los verbos son palabras que expresan acciones, procesos, estados o existencia que afectan a las personas o
las cosas. El tiempo verbal “pasado simple” emplea verbos irregulares (conjugación en pasado es diferente
en su escritura y pronunciación, no tienen reglas de escritura así que hay que aprenderlos de memoria) y
verbos regulares (su conjugación en pasado presenta algunas reglas que orientan cómo escribirlos y
pronunciarlos).

Los verbos regulares en el pasado simple terminan en las letras 'ed'. Estas dos letras pequeñas se pueden
pronunciar de tres maneras diferentes:

Hay tres formas diferentes de pronunciar la terminación 'ed' de los verbos regulares en tiempo pasado
simple: / Id /, / t / o / d /.

La pronunciación depende del sonido al final del infinito del verbo principal y de si se pronuncia o no.

Recordemos que un sonido sonoro es aquel en el que las cuerdas vocales vibran en tu garganta cuando lo
dices y un sonido sordo es el que carece de vibración de las cuerdas vocales al pronunciar una palabra.
