bomba atómica y a una carrera entre Alemania y los Aliados para crear la bomba
atómica. Cubre temas como las relaciones humanas, la memoria, la mecánica
cuántica, la forma en que se construye la ciencia e historia, y finalmente habla
sobre el dilema moral de un científico teórico que enfrentó al querer ayudar a

Narra el encuentro que tuvo lugar en 1941 en la capital de Dinamarca, ocupada

Werner Heisenberg, Eran viejos amigos y colaboradores, que en la década de

sus dos países durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial.

Todo son conjeturas sobre aquel misterioso encuentro, que algunos han querido
ver como decisivo para que la balanza de la guerra se inclinase a favor de los
aliados, impidiendo la creación de la bomba atómica por parte de los alemanes.
Por razones que no están establecidas históricamente, estos dos gigantes de la
ciencia mundial rompieron relaciones permanentemente después de este

This book tells us about history and science, and how the two interrelate: quantum
theory led to nuclear fission which led to the atomic bomb and a race between
Germany and the Allies to create the atomic bomb. It covers topics such as human
relationships, memory, quantum mechanics, how science and history are
constructed, and finally talks about the moral dilemma of a theoretical scientist who
faced wanting to help win a war, but who was working on a weapon of mass
destruction to achieve that victory.

It narrates the meeting that took place in 1941 in the capital of Denmark, occupied
by Nazi troops, between the great Danish scientist Niels Bohr and his former
student Werner Heisenberg. They were old friends and collaborators, who in the
1920s had jointly begun to unveil the mysteries in the bowels of atoms,
representative of the Nazi establishment and enemies due to the situation of their
two countries during the Second World War.

Everything is conjecture about that mysterious meeting, which some have wanted
to see as decisive in tipping the balance of the war in favor of the Allies, preventing
the creation of the atomic bomb by the Germans. For reasons that are not
historically established, these two giants of world science broke off relations
permanently after this meeting.
