Since we were talking about stamp collections after the Accounting Seminar last
week, I thought you might be interested in the information that I've just received
from the Postal Service.

First of all, you can sign up for different kinds of collections. The most expensive

philately, but I don't want to invest a fortune in my hobby, so I've opted for the

Architecture Conference. I took advantage of the opportunity to visit the Ceramics
Fair in Florence. I was very much impressed by the wide variety and high quality
of the products exhibited, and I thought we might be able to use some of the
ceramic tiles in the new semi-detached houses that our company has scheduled for
construction in the Boston area.

There were two manufacturers in particular that attracted my attention. One was
Italian whose specialty was hand-decorated wall tiles. Their samples included

designs in bolder hues which would be very suitable for kitchens. I was told that
they were willing to custom produce any design and color.

The other, a Spanish company from theValencia area, displayed floor tiles of
superior quality. They use a double firing process which gives a nearly vitrified,
extremely scratch resistant surface.

I spoke to the representatives of the two firms and although neither has a
distributor in the US, both are interested in doing business with us.

It is a good moment for importing European products since the dollar still
commands a high exchange rate. This means that we could upgrade the overall
quality of the house, without having to increase the final price.
