RESUMEN

El plantago major es una planta que posee un gran potencial de comercialización

gracias a sus propiedades medicinales, como es su efecto laxante ya
comprobado, también se han reportado actividades diurética, antihemorrágica,
antiinflamatoria, antibacteriana y astringente; de la misma forma es útil en el
tratamiento de llagas y aftas bucales, actúa como cicatrizante de heridas, tanto
interna como externa. Entre los múltiples usos de esta planta en el campo de la
salud humana, se encuentran sus propiedades astringentes adecuadas para
detener la diarrea, disentería y amibiasis. En lo que respecta al sistema
respiratorio, cuenta con distintas aplicaciones, es eficaz para tratar enfermedades
como la tos, faringitis, laringitis, bronquitis, tuberculosis, entre otras. Se utiliza para
curar el dolor de garganta y la irritación en la boca; además, se usa para reducir la
inflamación glandular. Actúa a nivel oral, ayudando a disminuir las enfermedades
inflamatorias. El Plantago Major es una planta utilizada por Odontólogos, como
terapia alternativa en lesiones inflamatorias a nivel de la cavidad bucal. Además
puede utilizarse como fármacos y por supuesto en los tratamientos odontológicos
pertinentes. Por último es importante recomendar que al utilizar esta maravillosa
planta y sus propiedades medicinales se debe beber una infusión de hojas de
llantén. Este brebaje también es muy bueno para tratar casos de tos excesiva o
presencia de mucosidades y tratar casos de estreñimiento.

 ABSTRACT

The major plantago is a plant that has great marketing potential due to its
medicinal properties, such as its laxative effect and proven, have also been
reported diuretic, anti-haemorrhagic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and astringent
activities; just as it is useful in the treatment of sores and canker sores, acts as a
healing of wounds, both internal and external. Among the many uses of this plant
in the field of human health, are their rights to stop diarrhea, dysentery and
amebiasis astringent properties. With respect to the respiratory system, has
various applications, is effective in treating diseases like coughing, pharyngitis,
laryngitis, bronchitis, tuberculosis, among others. It is used to cure sore throat and
mouth irritation; also used to reduce the glandular inflammation. Acting oral level,
helping to reduce inflammatory conditions. Plantago Major is a plant used by
dentists as an alternative therapy in inflammatory level of oral cavity lesions. Also
can be used as drugs and of course in appropriate dental treatment. Finally it is
important to recommend that using this wonderful plant and its medicinal properties
should drink an infusion of plantain leaves. This brew is also very good to deal with
cases of excessive coughing or presence of mucus and treat cases of constipation.
