RESUMEN
ABSTRACT
The present work concerns with the laterality as an influent factor in the
learning process of left handed young adults, in which teachers and parents
must be involved to give support and assessment to left-handed children,
teenager and adults. The purpose of this work is to reinforce the teacher�s
assessment to avoid the doubts about teaching children with different
literalities. The qualitative paradigm is the framework of this investigation
along with the phenomenological method. The main aim of this research was
to interpret the universal proved essence of laterality in order to worth its
scientific value into the learning process of left-handed university student. The
subjects of this work were 5 key informants and a semi-structured interview
was applied. The results were organized and analyzed using the
categorization method, dividing the units through unit and subunits based on
the theoretical appraisals of Phenomenology. Afterwards, the theory was
constructed being this originated from analyzing categories. The theoretical
framework was constructed, finding that teachers do not know the paying
attention process of left-handed students that is why recommendations were
established to achieve the teacher�s sensibility.
Seg�n Tineo y otros (2005), plantea que, �Los ni�os (as) mancinos
(zurdos), no son torpes, �nicamente requieren orientaci�n y buena
disposici�n por parte de los docentes�. Esto marca uno de los puntos de
partida para la atenci�n y educaci�n de personas con lateralidad distinta a la
diestra. En consecuencia, se requiere que las autoridades universitarias
realicen una revisi�n de los Planes de Estudio donde aparezca alg�n
Programa de Entrenamiento para docentes y as� lograr el vac�o que existe en
cuanto al desconocimiento de c�mo dirigir a discentes con lateralidades
distintas.
