SUMMARY
Objective: to relate the organizational climate with work stress in teachers in three
educational institutions. Method: The study was carried out in the Educational
Institutions of young ladies: Arequipa, Micaela Bastidas and Juana Cervantes of
Bolognesi. The study population consisted of 94 regular female teachers. The
technique was the analysis of the answers to two instruments: the MINSA validated
questionnaire to measure the organizational climate in 11 dimensions and the test of
Teresita Prieto T. and Marcelo Trucco B., built to measure work stress in three
dimensions: psychological, physiological and the presence of stressful factors.
Voluntary participation was requested for ethical reasons and a statistical correlation
analysis was made with Pearson's correlation test. Results: the organizational climate,
found in the three educational institutions, was positive. All the teachers in the three
educational institutions presented some level of work stress from mild to moderate.
The relationship analysis with Pearson's correlation test, by dimensions, concludes
that both variables are related. Therefore, Pearson's Correlation test found that there
would be a negative relationship between organizational climate and work stress.
Conclusion: The relationship between organizational climate and work stress is
inverse.
Keywords: organizational climate, job stress, educational institution, occupational
health.
