3. ADICIÓN Y SUSTRACCIONES HETEROGÉNEAS.

Regla:
* Se homogenizan las fracciones:
* Luego se suman o se restan las fracciones homogéneas.
Ejemplo:

Sumar:
3 + 1
5 20

Solución:
Homogenizando las fracciones: M.C.M (5;20) = 20

De 3 de 20 : 5 = 4 entonces: 3 x 4 = 12
5 20 20

De 1 de 20 : 20 = 1 entonces: 1 x 1 = 1
20 20 20

Entonces:
12 + 1 = 12 + 1 = 13 entonces 3 + 1 = 13
20 20 20 20 5 20 20

Restar:
7 - 5 =
8 12

M.C.M. (8 – 12) = 24

Homogenizando:

Con 7 de 24 : 8 = 3 entonces 7 x 3 = 21
8 24 24

Con 5 de 24 : 12 = 2 entonces 5 x 2 = 10
12 24 24

Luego:
7 - 5 = 21 - 10 = 11
8 12 24 24

Por tanto:

7 - 5 = 11
8 12 24
