Verbo To Be
El verbo to be es uno de los más importantes del idioma inglés y traduce “ser o estar” este se
manifiesta mediante el uso de tres partículas (am, is, are) que acompañan a cada uno de los
pronombres personales para así poder ser utilizado, por ejemplo

 Afirmativa
I am a excellent student – Yo soy un excelente estudiante

I am in the park – Yo estoy en el parque

El verbo to be también se presenta en forma negativa e interrogativa donde sufre algunos cambios en su
estructura.
 Negativa
Para escribir en forma negativa se agrega la negación (not) después de la partícula (am,is,are).

I am not a excellent student – Yo no soy un excelente estudiante

I am not in the park – Yo no estoy en el parque

 Interrogativa
Para escribir en forma interrogativa se cambian las posiciones del pronombre con la partícula y se
agrega el signo de interrogación.

I am ----- Am I ?

Am I good student ? -- ¿ Yo soy buen estudiante?
