Objetivos:

● To review the use of the present continuous to talk about future arrangements.

● To review and use physical appearance vocabulary.

● To identify and apply the different vocabulary and grammatical tenses in English.

Procedimentales:

● To elaborate basic exercises that allow the acquisition of a learning focused on the implementation of
the components of the English language (listening, writing, reading, speaking.)

● To analyze and contextualize the different themes from the educational devices such as a film.

Apreciado estudiante:

El uso y dominio de herramientas tales como la gramática y el vocabulario, son la base esencial para la
comprensión e introducción del idioma inglés a nuestras vidas. Así como cuando en nuestra niñez aprendimos
a hablar nuestra lengua nativa a partir de la escucha y la repetición de palabras, así funciona la lengua objeto
de nuestro estudio. Por todo lo anterior, los queremos invitar a ser parte integral de esta asignatura, retomando
los conceptos e ideas que se traen de los cursos previos al nuestro. Asimismo, el uso de métodos interactivos
y que se adicionan como apoyo al aprendizaje, juegan un papel importante en la consecución de la meta
propuesta, siendo elementos tales como visuales, auditivos y de escritura parte vital de esta coyuntura.

Su uso cotidiano y la práctica repetitiva de cada lección estudiada, garantiza la fácil interiorización y desarrollo
de capacidades cognitivas, las cuales al pasar del tiempo van generando una adquisición progresiva y de
mejoramiento de la lengua inglesa. Por ello, a continuación, nos permitiremos poner a su disposición un recurso
audiovisual que les permitirá iniciar una exploración de vocabulario y de escucha, enfocados en adquirir
paulatinamente un nivel adecuado y así alcanzar los objetivos planteados.
Reflexión inicial

El dominio de una segunda lengua se ha convertido en algo primordial en el mundo, si bien es cierto existe
variedad de idiomas, siendo el inglés un lenguaje globalizado y en el que se interactúa en todos los c ampos de
la sociedad. He aquí la importancia que tiene nuestra cátedra en el aprendizaje y fomento de nuevos
profesionales.

Por esto, hemos querido poner a su disposición una herramienta que consideramos vital para la introducción al
inglés, la cual les permitirá medir sus capacidades, e identificar las falencias que cada uno de ustedes tienen y
así, poder desarrollar estrategias de enseñanza y temáticas que les permita alcanzar a medida de su evolución
académica, un mejoramiento considerable en el área.

ustedes deberán desarrollar con lo observado en este, las cuales deben ser estructuradas y contextualizadas.

The Larmer Tree Festival

If you love music and a , you have to go to the Larmer Tree. Every July near a small village called Tollard
Royal in the south-west of England there’s a four-day music festival. Musicians
come from all over the world to play there 2 B .
The gardens are big enough for 4,000 people and you can buy day tickets, or you can stay for the weekend or
for the four days. Most people decide to camp 3 F , so they take their tents and bring all their food and drink
with them. There are a lot of different food stalls as well, so you can try all kinds of foods. There are also lots of
stalls where you can buy jewellery,
clothes, books and paintings, 4 C .
There are lots of things for children to do as well. They can learn to make things like decorations and they can
play games and make new friends. On the Sunday afternoon there is always a parade and they can take part
in it with their parents. Often they dress up as
different animals or birds 5 E . It’s very colourful and everyone enjoys it.
Although there are a lot of people there, you feel as if you’re at a party because everyone is so friendly and
relaxed, 6 D . The sun doesn’t always shine, but that doesn’t matter because people are always in a good
mood. The main thing is the music, so if you want to experience
something special, I recommend this festival. I guarantee you’ll have a good time.

The fairs and parties in the city of duitama are very fun. They take place every year in
January and last 4 days. Different cultural activities are developed in which many
people participate. Event are held on stage with the presentation of various artists. It's
very funny. I always go to these parties with my friends
