Aim: Study (1) activation of the upper trapezius muscle using a novel technique
MAT, and (2) its correlation with a scientifically validated technique, Borg Scale.
Design: Three months prospective study using the technique for roasting MAT
upper trapezius. Subjects: The study sample were 26 volunteer participants.
Protocol: A test of both trapezius neuropropioceptiv aresponse by the scale of
perceived exertion (Borg scale) was used. Results: The results show that those
trapezoids roasting correlate positively with higher perceived exertion.
INTRODUCCIÓN
Dicha debilidad o inhibición muscular, se puede deber a que existe una incorrecta
comunicación entre el cerebro y el músculo, dando lugar a que éste sea incapaz
de contraerse como toca cuando se le somete a stress o a una resistencia a la
articulación que controla, perdiendo eficacia. Esto ocurre sobre todo cuando el
músculo está en acortamiento contribuyendo a la inestabilidad de la articulación y
mecanismo de protección que anteriormente se explicó.
