stream and saw that it was mere Konko and Akere. She then threw one pebble into
the stream and the noise subsided. She then went and called her husband, Ogun that
it was only a noise made by mere Akere and Konko. They ignored them and headed
straight for home. Whenever Ogun was narrating his experience during the war, his
wife would always come in and told people that if not for her, Ogun wouldn’t have
won the battle and brought home a lot of booty. Hearing this, Ogun would shut his
mouth. To him, this was a ridicule he was being subjected to by his wife. He then
decided in his mind to deal with her. One day, Ogun used a charm on his wife in
order to inflict an ailment that makes her wet her bed whenever she falls asleep.
People got to know about this ailment and it brings nothing but disgrace to the wife.
Since then henceforth, she never opened her mouth whenever Ogun was narrating
his war experience.

6. Ifa foresees Ire for a couple. While the husband is lamenting his financial incapability,
the wife is lamenting her inability to bear a child. Ifa says that this couple shall be
blessed with both financial success and beautiful offspring. To enable these two ire
to manifest, there is the need for the couple to offer ebo in two areas. Firstly,
financial success with two pigeons and money. Secondly, childbearing with two hens,
two rats, two fish and money. On this, Ifa says:

7. Ifa says that if the owner of this Ifa is a woman, she must not divorce her husband.
Both the husband and wife are divinely meant for each other. Their togetherness will
bring forth abundant blessings from Olodumare. If on the other hand, she divorces
her husband, all her possessions, achievements and way of life will turn upside
down and may no longer enjoy the peace, comfort and success that she used to. She
may also be prompted to insinuate that the husband is the one responsible for her
retrogression and adversities. Ifa says that it is not the making of the husband but as
a result of breaking that divine chord that has put the two of them together. She is
however advised to offer ebo with rat, fish, hen and money. On this, Ifa says:

8. Ifa also says that even though, the couple may not really be satisfied with the
physical condition of each of them, they can still make a good couple. Ifa however
warns them not to call each other names especially using the physical appearance of
each other to ridicule themselves. This, of course is capable of causing serious
contention that may cause domestic violence and eventually lead to divorce or
separation between them. They should also understand each other’s dos and don’t
and must try hard not to violate them.
Ifa then advises this couple to offer ebo in order to quell such contention with two
guinea fowls, two pigeons and money. On this, Ifa says:

mate had seized his Ire. This is why sometimes this person may be experiencing
failures, disappointments, un-accomplishments or hopelessness in his life. Ifa says
that after offering the ebo, a special akose (preparation) must also be done for this
person so that his heavenly mate will loosen his grip on the Ire so that failures will
be replaced with successes; disappointments with opportunities, un-
accomplishment with fulfillments and hopelessness with hope. There is also the
need to propitiate Twin Deity in order to complement the efficacy of the above
ritual/ preparations. The ebo materials include two rats, two white pigeons, money,
pot, honey, plenty of soap and Ifa herbs. On this, Ifa says:

rams, eight snails, two hens, 20 kolanuts, 20 bitter kola and money. After this, a

says that the need for this is to enable all prayers and ebo being offered by this
person to be generally accepted and endorsed by the heavenly forces. The
propitiation must be done in the way and manner of the practitioners of Oro cult.
On this, Ifa says:
