El presente simple expresa hbitos. Desayunar (eating breakfast) es un hbito, una actividad frecuente. Cada maana (Every morning) significa= la maana del lunes, del martes, mircoles, jueves, viernes, sbado, y domingo. Ejemplos: 1. I eat breakfast every morning. Yo desayuno todas las maanas. 2. Ann speaks English every day. Ann habla Ingls todos los das. 3. We sleep every night. Nosotros dormimos todas las noches. 4. They go to the beach every weekend. Ellos van a la playa cada fin de semana. ALGUNAS REGLAS AL AGREGAR S AL VERBO SEGUIDO DE LA TERCERA PERSONA EN PRESENTE SIMPLE A. Tambin existen verbos irregulares o verbos que son excepciones a las reglas: Have, do, y go, son excepciones a las reglas al utilizarlos con terceras personas. NOTA: al verbo principal en una oracin interrogativa no se le agrega la s al final. INCORRECTO: Does Bob likes coffee? A Bob le gusta el caf? CORRECTO: coffee? Ejemplos: 1. Do you like coffee? Te gusta el caf? 2. Does Bob like coffee? A Bob le gusta el caf? Cuando el verbo principal de la oracin interrogativa es el verbo to be (ser o estar), no se utiliza el Do/does. Cmo contestar una pregunta Do, dont, does y doesnt son usados en las respuestas cortas conjuntamente con s o no (yes/no) en tiempo presente. Ejemplo: 1. Do you like tea? Yes, I do. No, I dont 2. Does Bob like tea? Yes, he does. No, he doesn t.
