Seamos sinceros
No es fcil escribir ni ensear a escribir- un texto en
cualquier idioma.
No lo es en nuestra propia lengua, menos en ingls.
Si aadimos a esto que al deseo de aprender un idioma es
generalmente por pura necesidad es normal que nos
estresemos ante la pgina en blanco.

Para qu escribimos?
Para entender.
Para amar.
Para que nos quieran.
Para saber.
Por costumbre.
Para vivir otras vidas y revivir la propia.
Para dar testimonio.
Por necesidad, en este caso otro tipo de textos

Qu es una saga?


Es un relato novelesco que abarca las vicisitudes de dos o ms
generaciones de una familia; una epopeya que se extiende en
el tiempo

Las mini sagas aparecieron
por primera vez en The
Sunday Telegraph en 1982
y Brian Aldiss las recopil

Trabajo de miniaturista

Es una historia, con principio y fin, contada en
exactamente cincuenta palabras y un ttulo de no
ms de quince. La historia debe tener un final
sorprendente, un giro inesperado o juegos de
palabras.

The happiest day ever?
-If theres someone who knows a reason not to
celebrate this marriage, speak up now, or keep
quiet forever I looked around, praying for a
raised hand. Everybody was smiling. I burst into
sweat. But I didnt dare speak my mind.
-You can kiss the bride, I said. (50)
The killer
I shot him and he hit the ground. I made an
emergency call and went home. I slipped into
bed to avoid waking my husband up. After a
while the phone rang. "I have to go" he said.
"Apparently someone has been shot and there is
a heart for me". (50)

El asesino
Le dispar y cay al suelo. Llam a urgencias y
me fui a casa. Me deslic entre las sbanas con
cuidado de no despertar a mi marido. Un rato
despus son el telfono. "Me tengo que ir", dijo.
"Al parecer han disparado a alguien y hay un
corazn para m". (50)

Vejez
Estaba esperando su llamada. Como cada martes a
medio da son el telfono. Contest y ella empez a
hablar. Su voz sonaba ms mayor de lo habitual.
Estuvimos cerca de una hora hablando sobre nada
en particular. Nunca me he atrevido a decirle que un
da se equivoc de nmero. (50)


Old age
I was waiting for her call. As every Tuesday at
midday the phone rung. I answered and she started
to talk. She sounded older than usual. We had been
talking about nothing special for one hour.. I have
never dared to tell her that she had dialed the
wrong number. (50)
