CONVERSACIONES BÁSICAS EN INGLÉS

Los idiomas se leen, se escuchan y se hablan. Cada habilidad es distinta y cada habilidad tiene que practicarse.
Algunas usan el verbo to be y otras el presente simple.
De todos modos, se puede tranquilamente memorizar las frases aunque no las entiendas del todo. La mayoría son como frases
hechas, y no hace falta entender la estructura profunda.

Preguntas para conocerse


Aquí un diálogo sencillo, si hablamos de dos jóvenes, Mary peruana y Joseph norteamericano, que acaban de conocerse.

Mary : Hello, my name is Mary.


What’s yours?
Joseph : Nice to meet you, Mary.
My name’s Joseph.
 
Mary : Nice to meet you, too.
Where are you from?
Joseph : I’m from Las Vegas.
And you? Where are you from?
 
Mary : I’m from Lima Perú
Joseph : Oh wow! Lima is a very interesting city.
What do you do, Mary?
 
Mary : I’m an accountant.
I work in an office downtown.
Joseph : Oh, that’s nice.
How old are you, Mary?
 
Mary : I’m 25 years old.
Joseph : Oh, that’s good.
I’m 28 years old.

“NEGATIVE AND QUESTIONS FORMS”

• We form the negative by placing “NOT” after the verb TO BE.
