Los perfiles de acero son estructuras que se utilizan en
el sector de la construcción para realizar el soporte y
unión en un edificio, se puede trabajar como tensión,
compresión, flexión, torsión, entre otras.
Nomenclatura
El Instituto Mexicano de la
Construcción en Acero A.C. (IMCA)
consideró conveniente designar los
perfiles de acero con sólo dos letras, una
ideográfica y la otra, abreviatura de su
descripción
