Biografia de
Homero
¿Quién es Homero?
Homero, fue un filósofo y escritor que nació en el siglo VIII; un célebre autor
que impresionó al mundo con su canto en prosa y versos magníficos y
etéreos, que fundamentalmente marcaron un antes y un después en la
literatura clásica.
En la biografía de Homero podemos encontrar la interesante combinación
de realidad y mitos que fueron pasando de una persona a otra gracias a
la tradición oral, dando origen a toda una leyenda que sorprende aún en
nuestros días.
Los relatos sobre Homero, afirmaban que una enfermedad le había dejado
invidente, que era un hombre infinitamente sabio y calmado, seguro de
sí mismo y con mucho que decir. Debido a que es un ícono cultural,
muchos lugares aseguran que en sus tierras nació este célebre autor,
pero existen todavía dudas de dónde pudo haber venido al mundo este
sabio griego; sitios como Quíos, Esmirna, Colofón, Atenas, Argos, Rodas,
Salamina, Pilos, Cumas e Ítaca, se acreditan este privilegio.

Sus Obras mas famosas fueron
la Ilíada y la Odisea
La Ilíada La Ilíada es un poema de género épico que
trata el asedio de la ciudad de Troya por
los aqueos, para rescatar a Helena,
esposa del rey Menelao, la cual fue
raptada por Paris, príncipe troyano.
Después de este hecho, se origina una
guerra entre aqueos y troyanos.
Está compuesto por un total de 24 cantos en
los que se narran diferentes sucesos
acaecidos durante el último año de la
guerra de Troya, la cual se dilató durante
un periodo de 10 años.
Especialmente, atiende a la cólera de
Aquiles, guerrero griego que decide
mantenerse al margen del conflicto
después de enfadarse con Agamenón,
líder del ejército aqueo que le arrebata a
su esclava Briseida.
La odisea La Odisea es un poema épico que relata las aventuras de
Odiseo, también conocido como Odiseo, en su viaje a
su tierra natal, Ítaca, desde el final de la Guerra de
Troya, relatada en la Ilíada, hasta que regresa a casa,
varios años después. . .
El autor de esta obra, escrita en griego antiguo, se
atribuye a Homero, poeta que vivió en la actual
Turquía jónica en el siglo VIII a. Diciembre
Como sabemos, la Odisea, al igual que la Ilíada, formaba
parte de una antigua tradición oral, y fue cantada de
ciudad en ciudad por Rapsodia, hasta el siglo VI a.C.
C., Peisistratos, gobernante de Atenas, decidió
recopilar poemas homéricos, a partir de los cuales
fueron editados en el texto.
La copia más antigua conocida de la Odisea es la de
Aristarco de Samotracia, que data del siglo II a.
