asociación fundada en 1883. Actualmente cuenta con más de 30,000
socios en 100 países.

 Ciencias que utilizan el estilo MLA. Para Humanidades, en general, se

utiliza el estilo MLA.
LA BIBLIOGRAFÍA
 La bibliografía final recibe el nombre de:
 •  Fuentes Citadas, cuando incluye “las
fuentes que se consultaron y que
forman parte de la investigación
documental” (Montemayor, García y
Garza 56);
 •  Fuentes Consultadas, cuando
contiene “una lista amplia de referencia
sobre el tema” (Montemayor et al).
 Puntuación
 Entre el apellido y el nombre: coma (Pérez,
Florián).
 Entre la ciudad y la editorial: dos puntos

(Barcelona: Emecé).
 Entre la editorial y la fecha: coma (Emecé,

1989).
 Los campos van separados por puntos.
 Ejemplo: Pérez, Florián. Recuerdos del

Oriente . Barcelona: Emecé, 1989.

 Revistas
 No se pone editorial ni ciudad;

 Sí, eventualmente, el volumen y el número;

 La fecha de publicación va entre paréntesis.

 En el caso de varios autores, sólo en el primer autor el

apellido precede al nombre.

 Ejemplo: Borges, Jorge Luis, Adolfo Bioy Casares (y no:

Bioy Casares, Adolfo).
