Sin embargo, hay algunas excepciones. Por ejemplo, en inglés americano, se escribe
"traveling", mientras que en inglés británico se escribe "travelling".
Para formar el pasado del los verbos regulares, se añade "-ed" al infinitivo:
I worked yesterday.
Yo trabajé ayer.
Los verbos irregulares tienen una forma en el pasado simple que no es la del "-ed"
estándar. A continuación presentamos una lista de verbos irregulares comunes:
Did you eat chicken yesterday? (y NO Did you ate chicken yesterday?)

Los verbos en el presente simple solo cambian en la tercera persona del singular
añadiendo, en estos casos, una -s:

Con los verbos terminados en consonante + "-y", se quita la "-y" y se añade "-ies":

Respuestas cortas
Yes, I do.
Sí, me gustan.
No, I don’t.
No, no me gustan.
* cuando el verbo en infinitivo es "to go", se suele omitir para no repetir el mismo
verbo.
Para las respuestas cortas, se utilizan las mismas que las de "to be":
Yes, I am.
Sí (que voy a hacerlo / que es mi intención).
