Los días de la semana provienen de los Nombres de personajes míticos, por lo que la

primera letra de cada día debe ser MAYÚSCULA.

Days of the Week:

Monday = associated with the Moon
Tuesday = from the god Tiw, associated with Mars
Wednesday = from Germanic god Odin
Thursday = from Germanic god of thunder Thor
Friday = from Germanic goddess Frigga associated with Venus
Saturday = associated with Saturn
Sunday = associated with the Sun

Cuando decimos fechas en inglés, normalmente usamos números ordinales (primero,

segundo, tercero, etc.) en lugar de números cardinales (uno, dos, tres, etc.).

3rd – third 8th – eighth
4th – fourth 9th – ninth

Los números que terminan en –ty, como 20 y 30, cambian –y por –i y agregan –eth. Por
ejemplo:

 30 – thirtieth

En inglés británico, las fechas en inglés suelen comenzar con el día seguido del mes,
mientras que en inglés americano el mes suele ser el primero. Esto también es cierto
cuando abreviamos fechas en inglés en tres números. Por ejemplo, 1st December 2017 se
convierte en:
