Actividad 6: Leemos el siguiente texto sobre la vida fashionista de Mary.

My name is Mary and I am going to tell you about my experiences in the fashion world; the good, the bad,

and the most memorable experiences.

The turning point came in 1985, when I left New York. At that time, I told my bosses: "I want to create

the biggest company". Women in those years wore shirts and small ties in the office. I asked myself,

"Where's the sexuality? Where's the comfort? Where's the clothes you can wear day and night? How do

you travel with your closet in a purse?" And that's how I came up with the most brilliant idea to create

my clothing brand.

At first when it was time for the catwalks to show my creation it became a bit difficult, we only had six

pairs of shoes for the models, so when the first girl came back, we gave the shoes to the next one. If

that girl was a different size, we would stuff the shoes with handkerchiefs. We spent the whole

presentation on our knees. This was the most exhausting moment of the night.

Then they wouldn't let one of the models in because he wasn't wearing a tie, so he went across the street,

bought one and came back.

At the close of the runway night, I had to model and I was wearing one of the most beautiful dresses. I

still have a photo from that time in which I am dressed in one of my cross dresses.

The show was the most glamorous and exhausting.
