What are some different functions of the brain?

The brain performs a wide variety of functions essential for the functioning of the human
body. The brain controls voluntary movements, speech, intelligence, memory, emotions, and
processes information received through the senses. These are just a few of the many
functions of the brain, and their complexity is astonishing. The human brain is an incredibly
versatile organ and essential to our survival and life experience.
These regions play critical roles in the control of essential cognitive, sensory, and motor
functions.
