Issues in the news

Peter Jacskon, Matrix con Keanu Reaves, Men in Black, Harry Potter, etc.
Personally, a time that I remember with great nostalgia is the early 2000s. At that time I was
starting school and technological changes were very noticeable. Between the years 2000 and
2002, cell phones emerged as the mass medium of distance communication. Little by little the
internet began to appear, we still resorted to libraries in colleges and schools for homework.
Interconnectivity was still taking its first steps. In my case, I remember that in those years the
influence of Brazilian culture in Peru became very popular, in a certain way due to its soap
operas that were broadcast in prime time on TV such as Lazos de familia and el Clon. The Axe
rhythm took over the main radio stations and the Brazilian groups that popularized it became
very famous. During those years this type of music was the sensation at school parties and in
discos. An event that changed the world in those years was also the terrorist attack on the twin
towers, which caused the loss of thousands of innocent lives and unleashed a period of fear
and revenge. There were many good and innovative movies in those years like Lord of the
Rings by Peter Jacskon, The Matrix with Keanu Reaves, Men in Black, Harry Potter, etc. Shrek
was my favorite animated movie because it had a lot of humor and a not-so-childish theme,
plus it was one of the first animated movies to become a blockbuster in the 2000s. Fashion
was heavily influenced by the clothing of pop groups, axe and cumbia. A haircut that became
quite popular among the boys of that time was the so-called "mushroom cut" which was a
main feature in the look of the technocumbia singers. Now that I am older, I remember with
great nostalgia those first years of the new millennium, and how the changes precipitated so
quickly and how life changed suddenly, living faster and often without pause. I would like to go
back to those years to take a breather and enjoy a life that was much simpler.
