 Present Simple Tense
Presente Simple Tiempo

Notas: tercer persona he/she/it lives el/ella vive
I. Para formar el presente simple en
inglés simplemente tenemos que usar Plural
el pronombre personal (I, You, we,
they) + el verbo en forma base. Por primer persona we live nosotros vivimos
ejemplo: I live in England. o en el
caso del sujeto es 3º persona singular segunda persona you live vosotros vivís
(he, she, it) se le añade una "s" al ustedes viven
verbo. Por ejemplo: He lives in
mexico. tercer persona they live ellos/ellas viven
II. En español existen dos formas para
dirigirse a personas. ‘tu’ (informal) y
‘usted’ (formal). en inglés NO ocurre
así, sólo tenemos ‘you’ para tu y/o
usted.

Ortografía.
I. A la mayoría de los verbos sólo se añade la ‘s’ para formar la tercera persona del singular
(he, she, it)
II. Para los verbos acabados en "o","sh", "ch" , "-ss", "x" , se añade "-es" en lugar de "-s para
la 3ª persona del singular".
III. Para los verbos que terminan en “y” tiene que cambiar la ‘y’ por una ‘i’, y agregar “es”. Por
ejemplo I try – he tries
IV. El verbo have (tener) es irregular y en la 3º persona singular es has.
 Use the present simple for:

1. Para habitos y rutinas:

I run 6 times a week – Corro 6 veces por semana
I drink coffee every day – Bebo café todos los dias
He takes the train to work – Toma el tren a su trabajo
They work in London – Trabajan en Londres
2. Verdaderos generales:
I like pizza – me gusta la pizza
The bank opens at 8:30am – El banco abre a las 8:30
My mother comes from Ireland – Mi mama viene de
Irlanda
It snows a lot in Alaska – Nieve mucho en Alaska
Girafes live in Africa – La Jirafas viven en África
No se usa el presente simple para hablar sobre algo que
está pasando en el momento en el que hablamos.
