In this research paper we show the activities in the area of English that were
implemented with the mobile applications Duolingo, Poliglota, Habla inglés con 1100
palabras and were applied to eighth grade students of the Educational Institution
Cristo Rey de Tutunendo in Chocó and the Escuela Normal Superior La Hacienda
in Barranquilla; this research seeks to implement mobile applications to strengthen
the processes of teaching-learning of English allowing both the teacher and the
student work in a dynamic way with the purpose that the learner can improve their
level of English, also starting from the fact that the general objective of the project is
to implement a learning environment supported in mobile applications with the
purpose of strengthening the communicative skills in the English language of the
eighth grade students of the IE Cristo Rey De Tutunendo and the Normal School
Superior La Hacienda. The research of this project is mixed, which allowed many
activities where learners actively participated, in the results two interviews and two
surveys were taken into account. Finally, the research gave satisfactory results as
there was a growth of technology through the use of mobile applications.
