SEGUNDA ASIGNACIÓN DE INGLÉS DE 2do. B. III. MOMENTO.
manera:
COMPARACIÓN DE IGUALDAD: ( as ………… as ) tan………. como .
Example: Valencia is as hot as San Felipe. ( Valencia es tan caliente como San Felipe )
I am as short as my brother.
Ejemplo hotter….than ( más
Valencia is hotter than Caracas ( Valencia es más caliente que Caracas )
I am fatter than my brother; ( Yo soy o estoy más gordo que mi hermano)
Otros adjetivos cortos normales como: ( old- young- cold etc.) Hacen su comparación de
Superioridad añadiendole al adjetivo ( er ) y luego ( than) older than= más viejo que.
Younger than= más joven que ; colder than= más frio que. Ejemplo:
Helen is younger than my sister. ( Helena es mas joven que mi hermana )
The Math teacher is older than my father- ( El profesor de matematicas es mayor o mas viejo
Mérida is the coldest city in Venezuela.
Mr. Smith is the fattest person in my school.( El señor Smith es la persona más gorda en mi
escuela).
ADJETIVOS LARGOS O DE DOS O MÁS SILABAS: ( important- interesting- intelligent etc.)
cortos: Usan ( as … adjetivo largo as ) as interesting as= tan interesante como. As intelligent
as ( tan inteligente como ) Ejemplo: My history book is as interesting as yours.( Mi libro de
historia es tan interesante como el tuyo). My mother is as intelligent as my teacher= Mi madre
Ejemplo: more important than= más importante que
More intelligent than= más inteligente que.
Exm: Caracas is more important than Guarenas. ( Caracas es más importante que Guarenas )
English is more interesting than German.
más y luego en adjetivo: ( the most interesting place) ( the most intelligent girl ): El lugar más
interesante. La chica más inteligente.
Ejemplos: Playa La Ceiba is the most interesting place I know. ( Playa La Ceiba es el sitio mas
interesante que yo conozco.
She is the most intelligent girl in my school.(Ella es la chica más inteligente en mi colegio)
