PRESENTACIÓN:
Este glosario no solo es importante para los estudiantes y/o profesionales de Derecho,
también lo para el lector en general que esté interesado en temas de derecho o
jurídicos, el presente trabajo brinda una información clara y concisa para tener
conocimiento de los términos que más se utilizan dentro del Derecho.
PRESENTATION:
The present work has a marked goal, which is the elaboration of a glossary, it is written
in English with its translation into Spanish, and it contains 50 terms that have been
considered as the most used within the professional career of Law. That is why I have
decided to give it the name "Law Glossary", because this glossary will be of great help
not only for law students.
This glossary is not only important for law students and/or professionals, but also for
the general reader who is interested in law or legal issues, this work provides clear and
concise information to have knowledge of the terms most commonly used in law.

ADOPCIÓN
DEFINITION: Legal action in which an adult person can take as his or her own a child
of another person, with the purpose of creating a paternal-filial bond with the child.
DEFINICIÓN: Acción jurídica en el cual una persona adulta puede tomar como propio
a un hijo ajeno, con la finalidad de originar un vínculo paterno-filial con el niño
(Casado,2009).

DEFINITION: It is the title of a right of credit which lies in the eventuality of requiring the

DEFINITION: Refers to criminal actions caused by public authorities and officials who
abuse the power they obtain and influence the misuse of resources.

DEFINITION: A group of legal rules through which the State specifies the behaviors
that constitute crimes, as well as the penalties or security measures to punish those
involved in the commission of such crimes.
DEFINICIÓN: Grupo de reglas jurídicas mediante las cuales el Estado concreta los
comportamientos que instituyen crímenes, así como las penalidades o medidas de
seguridad para penar a quienes inciden en el cometido de dichos delitos.

DEFINITION: It is the legitimate authority that both parents possess to care for the
health, welfare, education, housing and respect of their children.
DEFINICIÓN: Es la autoridad legítima el cual poseen ambos padres para poder cuidar
la salud, bienestar, educación, vivienda y respeto de sus hijos (Cabanellas, s.f).

of the inquiry, regarding the events of which he has obtained personal knowledge, after
having sworn that he will only tell the true facts.
DEFINICIÓN: Es un individuo, el cual es invitado a dar su declaración, dentro del
contexto de la indagación, respecto a los sucesos de que ha obtenido noción personal,
luego de haber juramentado de que solo dirá los verdaderos hechos.
