El muelle del Río Tinto es una construcción industrial diseñado por los ingenieros
George Barclay Bruce (que es un miembro de la Institution of Civil Engineers of
London) y Thomas Gibson (Fue ingeniero residente en el Reneough Bridge en
Newcastle donde lo conoció Bruce que le propuso la dirección de la obra del Muelle
de la Riotinto Company en España). Este muelle es de dos plataformas. Se construyó
con madera de pino tea embreado y pino rojo del Báltico con cementaciones de
madera asentada al fondo de la ría.
