Hoy Colombia tiene la mejor Policía de su historia. Una Policía integrada por
hombres y mujeres cuyo esfuerzo y dedicación hicieron posible poner fin a
más de medio siglo de conflicto armado. Una Policía que no solo nos condujo
a la firma del Acuerdo de Paz, sino que ahora nos ayuda todos los dias a
construir y afianzar esa paz en cada rincón del país.
Los más de 2.500 policías que integran la Unidad cumplen una tarea
fundamental para la consolidación del nuevo país que -con paz, más equidad
y mejor educación- ya se vislumbra en el horizonte.
Para esto cuentan con el respaldo del Gobierno nacional, de todas las
instituciones del Estado y de los mismos ciudadanos, que agradecen su labor
en las zonas donde hacen presencia
