What time is it? (Qué hora es?)

10:00 It’s ten o’clock

10:05 It’s ten five
10:15 It’s ten fifteen
10:27 It’s ten twenty seven
10:30 It’s ten thirty
10:45 It’s ten forty five

La forma más sencilla de decir la hora en Inglés es como está presentado arriba. Sólo hay que leer, decir
los números en la forma y el orden en el que se presentan. Se suele utilizar con la forma de 24 horas del reloj:

7:37 It’s seven thirty seven

23:18 It’s twenty three eighteen

Pero hay otras formas:

10:15 It’s fiteen after ten

It’s quarter after ten
10:25 It’s twenty five after ten
10:30 It’s thirty after ten
It’s half past ten (diez y media)
10:35 It’s twenty five to eleven (once menos veinticinco)
10:45 It’s quarter to eleven
It’s fifteen to eleven
10:58 It’s two to eleven

También se puede decir:

10:05 It’s five past ten (cinco pasadas las diez)

10:17 It’s seventeen past ten
10:35 It’s thirty five past ten

Se puede decir la hora en inglés de más de una forma (como en castellano)

Tambien se dice “midday” (mid = medio; day = día) y “midnight” (mid = medio; night = noche), como en
