◄ Payaso (clown)
Uno de los personajes más comunes en las fiestas de solsticios y equinoccios.
Originalmente las máscaras eran de madera, de peso considerable. En la
actualidad, la mayor parte de danzantes usan máscaras de cartón.

Personaje de gran importancia en los pases del Niño Rey de Reyes, en la provincia
de Chimborazo. Confeccionado en lata, con formas muy rectas. Este personaje era
el encargado de ahuyentar al público y abrir camino a la imagen del Niño.
