An incredible journey
It was once a small mouse called Carlos, a mouse that lived on the
tip of the largest mountain in the city. This mouse worked day and
night to clean the dust of a boot that, years ago, his best friend Juan
had given it to him, which was taller and thinner than him.
The mouse Carlos had a habit of spending Christmas with that boot,
and as there were a few days before Christmas came, he heard that
they knocked on his door.
It was his friend Juan, who came from the city to invite him to spend
the happiest Christmas holidays with him and his family, because he
thought his friend Carlos, up there, would feel more alone than ever.
Juan arrived more tired than he seemed to have run all day; Carlos
invited him to sit down to rest.
Normally, it takes nine days to walk from the city to the tip of the
mountain, but Juan, due to the slippery and wet grass, had taken
twice as much.
There are only three days left until Christmas and Juan was sadder
because he knew he wasn't going to give him time to go back down
the mountain with Carlos and celebrate family parties.
Carlos, worried about his friend, the smartest, thought about how he
could help his friend. Finally the little mouse Carlos planned an
incredible trip!
They both climbed a sled that was thinner than Juan, and planned to
go down the mountain with him. The speed was faster than that of a
rocket, where snowballs hit their faces, they had to close their eyes
at a lot of speed, and suddenly, they saw that they had reached the
foot of the mountain, then ran as fast as possible to Arrive in time for
Christmas night.
And so, with will and friendship, Carlos and Juan celebrated
Christmas together. Carlos with his boot and Juan with his family.
