EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU (verbo to be, wh questions, family members, personal
information, Present simple, adverbs of frequency)

 Verbo to be:
Las estructuras con el verbo "to be" sirven para poder comunicar varias aspectos muy útiles
como pueden ser "hablar sobre una persona" (su nombre, nacionalidad, de dónde es, su
profesión, como se siente, etc.) y "describir las características de alguien o algo" (qué es
algo, su color, a quien pertenece, etc.). Dichas estructuras son:

Afirmativa: Sujeto + am / is / are + complement


Ejemplo: I am a student (soy estudiante)

Negativa: Sujeto + am / is / are + not + complement


Ejemplo: I am not a teacher (no soy profesora)

Pregunta Yes / No: Am / is / are + sujeto + complement?


Ejemplo: Are you a student?
Yes, I am.

Pregunta de información: Wh + am / is / are + sujeto?


Ejemplo: Where are You from? (de dònde eres?)

 Rutina Diaria

a. El vocabulario propio de la rutina diaria:

- Get up: levantarse - turn on the radio: prender el radio


- make the bed: tender la cama - take a shower: bañarse
- Get dressed: vestirse - go to work: ir a trabajar
- Take the bus: tomar el bus - have breakfast, lunch, dinner: desayunar,
almorzar, cenar
- Take a break: tomar un descanso - watch TV: mirar tv.
- Listen to music: escuchar música, etc.

En las oraciones afirmativas no olvide que si hablamos de terceras persona (He, She, It) se
debe agregar una s o es al verbo, ejemplo:

- I get up at six o´clock


- Sara gets up at six o´clock

Para oraciones negativas se debe emplear Don´t (I, You, we, They) o doesn´t (He, She, It),
y el verbo debe ir en infinitivo, ejemplos:

- I don´t get up at eight o´clock


- Sara doesn´t get up at eight o´clock.

b. El vocabulario de comidas: juice, egg, bread, chicken, rice, potatoes, salad, etc.
Apóyese en un diccionario.
c. Las horas: recuerde que para decir en punto decimos: O´clocK: a las seis en punto:
at six o´clock; si la hora es diferente decimos primero la hora y luego los minutos: a
las seis y veinte: at six-twenty five.

d. En las preguntas, tenga presente que hay preguntas Yes / NO , en las cuales se debe
utilizar el auxiliar DO O DOES según la persona:

- Do you get up at six o´clock?


Yes, I do.
- Does She get up at six o´clock?
Yes, She does.

Si las preguntas son de información, utilice las WH y siga con la estructura. Recuerde las
Wh mas utilizadas:
- Who: quién
- Where: dónde
- What: qué
- When: Cuándo
- Why: por qué
- What time: A qué hora

Observe los siguientes ejemplos:


- What time do you get up?
I get up at six o´clock

- What time Does Sara get up?


She gets up at six o´clock

Se utilizan para indicar con qué frecuencia se realiza la acción indicada por el verbo.

Lea con atención el siguiente texto y resuelva las preguntas

Tim works for a company in Sacramento, California. He's a customer service


representative. He gets up at six o'clock each workday. He drives to work and begins his
job at eight o'clock. He speaks to people on the telephone to help them with their banking
problems. People telephone the bank to ask questions about their accounts. He doesn't give
information about accounts until people answer a few questions. Tim asks callers their birth
date, the last four digits of their social security number and their address. If a person gives
incorrect information, Tim asks him to call back with the correct information. Tim is polite
and friendly with everyone. He has lunch in a park next to his office. He returns home at
five o'clock in the evening. After work, he goes to the gym to work out. He has dinner at

Teniendo en cuenta el vocabulario relacionado con el tema, las horas y los adverbios
de frecuencia, escriba su rutina diaria en 15 oraciones. (10 afirmativas, 5 negativas)

Introducction

the work is based on the instructions and support materials acquired by the tutor in order to
remember and implement the verb tobe and other main themes in inlges in order to improve
and be able to be more fluid when communicating when communicating

Conclusions
through the workshop done above I can remember and practice the verb tobe, vocabulary,
how to make simple sentences in present, sentences in negative and positive, also as is the
correct way to make a personal presentation.
