MODAL VERBS
Modal verbs are auxiliary verbs that express ideas such as making
offers and request, and asking for assistance. They are always
followed by simple form of a verb.
Use
Can and Could are used to make offers and request
For example

Could is more polite than CAN
Would is for polite offers For example
