ParcialPregunta 4
15 / 25 pts
Read the text and indicate if the sentences are True (T) or False (F).
I am going to tell you about my first experience abroad. Everything started when I
got on the airplane. I was looking out the window amazed by the sky and clouds
but feeling really bad because I was afraid of traveling by air. Around me, the other
passengers were sleeping, talking or listening to music while I was counting the
minutes to arrive in Italy, my destination. I don’t know if I was the only person
experiencing those emotions but I’m sure I was the only one showing them.
However, I was aware that it had to change. I thought I had to able to overcome my
fears if I wanted to travel a lot. So, I decided to think about positive things and
activities to do in Italy. I couldn’t wait to go sightseeing, diving and meeting new
people. However, being a foreigner is not easy since you miss homemade food and
might have difficulties with the language. Although Italian sounds familiar, it is very
difficult to understand when people speak too fast.
What I like about me, though, is that I don’t mind facing challenges and I enjoy
having new experiences. So, as soon as I landed in Italy, I started to change my
mind and feel better. Italy has the most breathtaking landscapes and the people
there are warm. I visited a lot of places and bought several souvenirs. I thought of
everybody: my family, friends, and relatives. In my opinion, everything is more
expensive than in my country, but going to Italy is not something that you can do
every day.
Next year, I am travelling to that great country again, this time, with my sister.
Actually, I already got the tickets. I’m sure we’ll have a great time there. Good thing
about this is that I already know the place and have saved more money. In addition,
I am not going to feel bad on the airplane because I am planning to take some pills
to sleep. My sister always says these pills work well. She really wants me to feel
good. We hope time passes fast to be there as soon as possible.
3. Laura could control her fears because she was aware of the fact that she wanted
to travel more. ["", ""]
4. Laura couldn’t go sightseeing in Italy because she missed her family so much.

7. You can’t go to Italy every day because life is very expensive there. ["", ""]
8. Laura is planning to take some medicine to be able to sleep on the plane. ["", ""]
9. Apparently, her sister has tired these sleeping pills in the past. T
