The inferential statistic allows to obtain conclusions or generalizations that surpass the
limits of the knowledge contributed by a set of data. Sometimes it is necessary to make
preliminary studies that serve as a basis as the probability that is not more than a branch of
mathematics that serves to measure in numerical form that an event, occurring or not,
includes methods and procedures to deduce probabilities, that is to say make inferences
Through them generalizations are made or decisions are made based on the information
obtained from the sample, said sample is a subset of the objective population.
Inferential statistics is a branch of statistics that studies the behavior and properties of a
sample in order to generalize some results obtained, based on the probability that this type
of statistics will allow the researcher to collect important data for the study of situations and
give answers to the problems in a useful and meaningful way. As answers to these results is
to infer whether the event will occur or not through the application of studies such as:
sampling methods, probability and their types of probability and sampling distributions all
these techniques requires that the sample of the population is random. It should be noted
that inferential statistics can provide a number of important methods which can be studied
without data numbers. It can be said that inferential statistics is important to simulate
situations, control processes and verify possible responses to controlled conditions, in a
company you can reduce costs since you can anticipate what can happen and take forecasts,
wait for it to happen and not be prepared.
