Good evening: Buenas noches /gʊd i:vnɪŋ /
– Las formas “Good Evening” y “Good Night” suelen ser confundidas por los
hablantes del español. “Good Evening” significa “Buenas Noches” como una forma
de saludo. Por otro lado, “Good Night” significa “Buenas Noches” como una
despedida.
– Es posible saludar a una persona por medio de una pregunta como: “How are
you?” o “What´s up?” Desde mi punto de vista, utilizar una pregunta para saludar a
una persona indica un nivel de informalidad.

Aclaraciones importantes:
Al hablar de la familia en todos los idiomas siempre hay formas muy familiares o
cariñosas de referirnos a la familia. En inglés estas formas son muy usuales:
Dad: apá, papi, papito, etc.
Mom: ma, mami, mamita, etc.
Grandma: abue, abuelita
Grandpa: abue, abuelito
Auntie: tita, tiíta, tía, etc.

The verb to be
The verb to be is the most important verb in the English language. It is difficult to
use because it is an irregular verb in almost all of its forms. In the simple present
tense, to be is conjugated as follows:

What about Angelina Joli? Is she American, too?
Yes, she is. She is American.
Are brad Pitt and Angelina Joli French?
