Yo nací en el municipio de Paz de Ariporo y he vivido durante 23 años

allí.
I was born in the municipality of Paz de Ariporo and I have lived there for
23 years.

2. La principal actividad económica ha sido la ganadería, comercio y

explotación petrolera en los últimos años.

The main economic activity has been livestock, trade and oil exploitation
in recent years.

3. Desde su fundación en el año 1974, La Paz se ha caracterizado por su

gran riqueza en fauna y flora.

richness in fauna and flora.

4. Con el paso de los años, los grupos indígenas guahibos, tunebos y mituas
han desaparecido del territorio llanero.
Over the years, the indigenous groups Guahibos, Tunebos and Mituas have
disappeared from the llanero territory.

5. Además el estado no ha brindado soluciones a estos grupos marginados

por la sociedad y la guerra.

In addition, the state has not provided solutions to these groups

marginalized by society and war.

6. Sin embargo el resguardo Caño Mochuelo ha mantenido sus tradiciones y

costumbres.

7. Por otra parte, la población ha aumentado bastante, de hecho La Paz

ha ocupado el tercer lugar en Casanare con más habitantes.

On the other hand, the population has increased a lot, in fact La Paz has
occupied the third place in Casanare with more inhabitants.
 8. El Santuario Nuestra Señora de Manare ha sido un sitio turístico muy
visitado por los creyentes. Inicialmente la iglesia fue construida en techo
de palma y barro pero han modificado su estructura.

The Shrine Our Lady of Manare has been a tourist site visited by believers. Initially
the church was built in a palm and mud roof but they have modified its structure.

9. También la arquitectura de las viviendas ha cambiado por diseños más

seguros y materiales resistentes.

Also the architecture of the houses has changed for safer designs and resistant
materials.

10. Se han construido sitios de interés como el parque General Santander y

el parque de los Malabares.

Sites of interest such as the General Santander park and the Malabares park have
been built.

11. Paz de Ariporo fue azotado por grupos al margen de la ley, sin embargo,
el orden público ha mejorado significativamente.

Paz de Ariporo was hit by groups outside the law, however, public order has
improved significantly.

12. Finalmente, Paz de Ariporo ha sido un digno representante de la cultura

y tradición llanera.

Finally, Paz de Ariporo has been a worthy representative of the llanera
