6. Ifa says that you will be blessed with beautiful children who will make you proud. These
childrèn arè Obatala’s childrèn. You nèèd to offèr èbo with 8 guinèa fowls and money. You
also need to feed Obatala with 16 snails. On this, Ifa says;
Ateka laa kala
Atèka laa ka’kan

Dia fun Oosanla Oseeremagbo
Ti nfomi oju sungbere omo
O gbebo, o rubo
Ko pe, ko jinna
Translation:
The Okra tree is bent when being harvested
The garden egg tree is bent when being harvested
Thèsè wèrè Ifa’s mèssagès for Obatala
When weeping in lamentation of his failure to beget his own children
He complied
Before long, and not too far
Join us in the midst of many children
7. Ifa says that you shall be given space and respect. You will be given authority over all
your sub-ordinates and over whatever you lay your hands upon. You shall not experience
failure.
You need to offer ebo with one matured he-goat and 16 finger rings and money. You also
need to feed Sango with one cock. On this, Ifa says;
Ateka, Awo Oba

Dia fun Oba
Oba nsunkun apa oun o kaye
O gbebo, o rubo
Apa Oba ni yoo ka o
Ayamo b’oruka o ba ka’wo
Apa Oba ni yoo ka o
Translation:
Ateka, the Babalawo of Oba, the Ruler
He cast Ifa for the Ruler
When weepin in lamentation of his having authority over his subjects
He complied
The ruler shall contain them all
Unless if the ring does not contain the finger
The King shall contain them all
8. Ifa says that as you will be blessed with children, so will you be blessed with peace of
mind. Ifa warns you not to eat okra at all. Okra is a serious taboo for you. Ifa says that
anywhere you go, you shall have peace of mind and contentment. It shall be well with you.
Ifa advises you to offer ebo with one hen, one cock and money. You also need to feed Ifa
with 2 rats and 2 fish. On these aspects, Ifa says;
Ateka Awo Ila
Dia fun Ila
Ila n lo oko alèro l’odun
O gbebo, o rubo
Ko pe, ko jinna
Translation:
Ateka, the Awo of Ila, Okra
Cast Ifa for Okra
When going on annual farm cultivation
She was advised to offer ebo
She complied

9. Ifa warns you never to swear with Ogun, especially when it is on false oath. The
important thing is for you not to swear on oath at all, whether true or false. You also need
to feed Ogun on a regular basis.
Materials to use to feed Ogun include one he-goat, one dog, rostead yam, rostead corn, palm-
wine, raffia palm-wine, one tortoise, palm oli, a bottle of gin or schnapps and a lot of money.
On this, Ifa says;
Ateka a mi o
Ti o o ba ka’la, koo ka’la
Ti o o ba ka’kan, koo ka’kan
Bi o o ka’la, bi o o ka’kan
Ki o ma ba’rè jè f’oloko
Dia fun Ogun Onire
Dia fun won niluu aisin oba
Niluu aisin Oosa
Ogun ni tani e n sin nileyi o?
Won ni awon o sin enikankan
Nje Ogun ko see fi sepe
E ma fi bura o
Ogun lo nile, n lo loko
Ogun lo nibi gbogbo laarin ilu
B’alagbèdè n s’agbèdè, t’Ogun ni
B’onilè n kolè, t’Ogun ni o
Translation:
Ateka, my Ateka
If you will pluck okro, do so
It it is garden-egg, pluck it
If you don’t want to pluck èithèr okra or gardèn-egg
Do not spoil thè farmèr’s harvèsts
Ifa’s mèssagès for Ogun Onirè
And for the inhabitants of the land where they did not venerate either the Oba or
any Orisa
Ogun asked them to tell him who they were venerating
They said that they serve nobody
Ogun cannot be used to swear
Do not swear with Ogun
Ogun owns the home and the farm
Ogun owns everywhere in the city
Blacksmithery belongs to Ogun
Home construction belongs to Ogun
10. Ifa advises you to feed the Elders of the night constantly so as to avoid any
contention with witches. As long as you avoid the problem of witches, there is no limit to
your success chances in life.
Ifa advises you to offer ebo with one female sheep(ewe) and money. You also need to feed
the Elders of the Night with another ewe. On this, Ifa says;
Ateka duuru Awo Eleye
Dia fun Eleye
Won ntorun bo wale Aye
Ebo ni won ni ki won se
Won gbebo, won rubo
Ateka o de o, Awo Eleye
Eni to ba pe Ateka
Ebo re yoo da
Translation:
Ateka duuru, the Awo of the Witches
He cast Ifa for the Witches
When coming from heaven to the world
They complied
Here comes Ateka, the Awo of the witches
Anyone who calls on Ateka
His ebo will manifest
11. Ifa warns you against paying good deeds with evil. Ifa says that anyone who do you
good must be appreciated and respected. If any opportunity arises for you to pay back,
please do so. This is the only way that you will be going up every time in your life.
Ifa advises you to offer ebo with 2 pigeons, 2 hens, 2 cocks, 2 guinea-fowls and money. On
this, Ifa says;
Ateka. Awo ode Ibadan
Dia fun won l’odè Ibadan
Ti Iku npa won ni rogba-rogba
Iku npa won ni rewe-rewe
Ebo ni won ni ki won se
Translation:
Ateka, the Awo of Ibadan land
He cast Ifa for them at Ibadan
When they were dying in their prime

And were dying in their youth
When the people of Ibadan called Ateka to come and help them, he did. When the problem
disappeared, they refused to recognize him anymore. The problem returned and they went
to beg Ateka. He helped them again and everything returned to normal. Since that time,
they accorded Ateka his due recognition.
12. Ifa says that if you plan to help anyone, you need to be very careful so that you will
not put yourself into problem in the bid to help others. Ifa also warns you to be mindful of
your utterances when you are helping others so that you will not be put into serious
problem in order to get themselves out of their problems.
Ifa advises you to offer ebo with one matured he-goat and money. You also need to feed Esu
with one cock. On these, Ifa says;
Ateka Awo Olubadan
Dia fun Olubadan
Won n sunkun awon o pe suuru
Translation:
Ateka, the Awo of Olubadan
He cast Ifa for Olubadan
When weeping that the population of the land was too small

Ateka consulted Ifa for Olubadan. He told Olubadan that he would need four cows
and one man with hunchback for ebo. Ateka had hunchback himself. Olubadan looked for
four cows and added Ateka to the ebo material. Ateka was offered as ebo, together with
the four cows. Ibadan expanded and became the biggest town in Yoruba land. Ateka, the
Babalawo was paid with wickedness, the good gesture he extended to the people of
Ibadan land. That is why you need to be mindful of your ulterances when you plan to help
people.
13. Ifa says that you need to consult Ifa and offer all necessary ebo before you embark
on any journey. Ifa says that where you are going has no problem. Where you are presently
has no problem. The problem is on the way from one place to the other.
You need to offer ebo with one matured he-goat and money. On this, Ifa says;
Teka-teka gbuuru
Dia fun Ookun
Ti nlo oko alèro l’odun
O koti ogbohin sebo
Ookun o ba tete mo
I ba waa fowo sarufin ebo
Translation:
Teka-teka gbuuru
He cast Ifa for Ookun, the Millipede
When going on annual farm cultivation

He failed to comply
Had the Millipede known
He would have offered the ebo accordingly
When the Millipede was advised to offer ebo before embarking on the journey, he
responded that he would come and offer the ebo when he returned. He set out on the
journey. On his way to the farm, some children saw him and smashed him to death. It did
not reach the farm.
14. Ifa says that there is the need for you to offer ebo for your children in order to
avoid the problems usually caused by bad gangs and bad influences. No amount of care or
caution or even experience can help you in this aspect. Only ebo will help you.
You need to offer ebo for each child with one matured he-goat and money. You also need to
feed Ifa with a big catfish. On this aspect, Ifa says;
Pantiri ni o k’èjo lorun
Dia fun Elero
Ti won jo nsore oun Aro
Ebo ki iku o ma pa omo re ni won ni ko se
Translation:
No heap of rubbish can hinder the movement of a snake
This was thè Ifa’s mèssagè for Elèro
Who was the friend of Aro

He was advised to offer ebo so that his child would not die
Elero relied on his strong charm and wide experience to safe his child. He refused to offer
ebo. When he realized that his child had moved to the verge of death, he went to offer the
ebo and his child survived.
15. In your own case, Ifa warns you never to rely on any means to protect yourself.
You only need to rely on the Deities. They are your sanctuary and surest source of
protection. No strong charm, no weapon, no tactic can safe you. Just put all your hope on ifa
and all the other Deities.
Ifa advises you to offer ebo with one matured he-goat and money. On this, Ifa says;
Orulè nii fi inu ya’na
Nii f’èyin yaa’run
Dia fun Eleere, Agba Isegun
Ti nsawo lo Oyo-Ajaka
Translation:
The roof gets the warmth of fire from inside
And receives the warmth of sunlight from outside

When going on Awo mission to Oyo-Ajaka

Eleere was advised to offer ebo so as to avoid a situation where he would die on the road.
He could not see how that could happen because he relied on his strong charms. He refused
to offer the ebo.
On his way to Oyo-Ajaka, he was suddenly gripped by severe stomach disorder. Before he
could take any remedy to use, he died. He however turned to a mighty River which is called
Eleere River. The river still exists up till today.
When people saw this, they began to lament thus;
Eleere, Agba isegun
Iku pa Eleere, o gbe
Eleere, Agba Isegun
Translation:
Eleere, the Proficient Herbalist
Death snatched Eleere, he lost everything
Eleere, the Proficient Herbalist
16. Ifa says that there is the need for you to offer ebo so as not to lose your sexual
potency.
Ifa advises you to offer ebo with one matured he-goat, your under-pant and money. On this,
Ifa says;
Ateka, Awo ile Oninadu
Dia fun Oninadu

Omo a ku jeeje
Ma jee ki bante o gbo
Ero Ipo, ero Ofa
Eni to gbebo nibe ko sebo o
Translation:
Ateka, the resident Awo of Oninadu
He cast Ifa for Oninadu
He would die quietly
Without given notice to the under-wear
Travelers to Ipo and Ofa land
Let those who were advised to offer ebo comply accordingly
Oninadu is the name of the penis in this stanza. You need to take care of it very well.
