Desde 1960, Sigdo Koppers ha sido parte del crecimiento de Chile,
contribuyendo al desarrollo de los sectores industrial, minero, de
energía e infraestructura. Con el correr de los años incorporamos

el Grupo está formado por empresas líderes en sus respectivos

Sigdo Koppers es uno de los más dinámicos e importantes

Las acciones de Sigdo Koppers se transan en el mercado
bursátil chileno desde octubre de 2005, formando parte del
IPSA (Indice de Precio Selectivo de Acciones) que agrupa los
títulos con mayor liquidez de la Bolsa de Santiago.

Uno de los focos estratégicos de Sigdo Koppers es fomentar la
innovación como pilar de crecimiento futuro. A lo largo de su
historia, se ha ubicado a la vanguardia de la industria mediante
la incorporación de nuevas técnicas en sus operaciones,
mejorando sistemáticamente la seguridad, productividad y
calidad de sus servicios. Esto se suma a inversiones como
las compañías SK Ecología y más recientemente SK Godelius
que tienen por objetivo desarrollar tecnologías que apoyen
las operaciones del Grupo y la industria.
SK Godelius es una empresa de ingeniería y soluciones tecnológicas
de alta complejidad que además de brindar servicios al mercado,
se encuentra desarrollando proyectos en conjunto con otras filiales
del Grupo. Estos se basan principalmente en la automatización y
robótica que permitirían hacer viables actividades de forma segura,
productiva y rentable para los clientes. Cabe destacar su experiencia
en la implementación de telecomando en faenas mineras, que permite
operar maquinaria pesada a distancia, evitando la exposición a
diversos riesgos, tanto operacionales como ambientales, reduciendo
los índices de accidentabilidad y alcanzando aumentos relevantes
de productividad.
Por su parte, SK Ecología, filial de Ingeniería y Construcción Sigdo
Koppers, brinda soluciones en el ámbito medioambiental a través de
asesorías, servicios y productos que van desde energía fotovoltaica
a control de derrames en agua y tierra, con el fin de proteger el
ambiente. Entre sus investigaciones más recientes, se encuentra
un estudio para construir plantas de generación de energía a través
de Biogás, obtenido de la fermentación de substancias orgánicas
sin presencia de aire.
El Grupo fomenta la inversión sistemática en innovación en todas
sus compañías, en áreas donde agregue valor al negocio. Esto se
ha abordado mediante desarrollos propios, convenios de licencias
e intercambio tecnológico con empresas líderes en el rubro,
Ejemplo de ello es Magotteaux que destina una inversión de
aproximadamente US$6 millones anuales a investigación y cuenta
con equipos multidisciplinarios en distintos lugares del mundo.
Éstos analizan las distintas necesidades de los mercados en los que
opera y determinan el enfoque del departamento de innovación. En
particular, los equipos de I+D de Australia y Chile, se centran en la
investigación de las interacciones entre la molienda y el proceso de
flotación del mineral, con el objetivo de aumentar la recuperación
de metales. La compañía es pionera en la utilización de materiales
compuestos en piezas de desgaste (casting), siendo Xwin® la primera
generación de estos elementos. La empresa continuó su investigación
sobre esta tecnología, logrando desarrollar el compuesto XCC®,
con nuevos granos cerámicos que aumentan el rendimiento de sus
productos y optimizan el proceso de los clientes.
El Grupo también promueve la búsqueda constante de soluciones
para disminuir los eventuales impactos ambientales generados por
las operaciones del negocio. En esta línea y tras la incorporación de
tecnologías en su planta Prillex, Enaex lleva a cabo desde 2011 el
proyecto de Bonos de Carbono bajo el protocolo de Kyoto y Naciones
Unidas, reduciendo anualmente cerca de 800.000 toneladas de CO2,
siendo la iniciativa más importante de su tipo en Chile.

the company has been at the vanguard of the industry through
the incorporation of new techniques in its operations,
systematically improving safety, productivity, and service
quality. This is in addition to investments in companies such
as SK Ecología and more recently SK Godelius, where the
objective is to develop technologies that support the Group
and the industry.
SK Godelius is an engineering firm that provides complex technological
solutions and services to the market. The company is also developing
projects in conjunction with other Group subsidiaries, mainly
in automation and robotics, which increase the viability, safety,
productivity, and profitability of clients’ activities. In particular,
the company has extensive experience in the mining industry in the
implementation of teleoperation systems for the remote operation
of heavy machinery, thereby avoiding exposure to a number of
operational and environmental risks, reducing the accident rates,
and significantly increasing productivity.
SK Ecología, a subsidiary of Ingeniería y Construcción Sigdo Koppers,
provides environmental solutions through consulting services and
products ranging from photovoltaic energy to the control of water and
land spills, with a focus on environmental protection. The company’s
most recent research projects include a study on the construction
of Biogas energy generation plants, based on the fermentation of
organic substances in an anaerobic environment.
The Group promotes the systematic investment in innovation in all
its companies, in areas that add value to the business. This has
been achieved through in-house research and development, licensing
agreements, and technological sharing with leading companies in
the sector.
One example is Magotteaux, which allocates approximately US$6
million a year to investment in research. The company has
multidisciplinary teams located in different parts of the world, which
are in charge of analyzing the different needs of the markets where
they operate and determining the focus of the innovation department.
In particular, the R&D teams in Australia and Chile have centered
their research on the interactions between grinding media and the
mineral flotation process, in order to increase metal recovery. The
company is a pioneer in the use of composite materials for casting
wear parts, starting with the first-generation Xwin®. The company
has continued its research on this technology, which resulted in
the development of the composite XCC®, with new ceramic beads
that increase the product yield and optimize the users’ processes.
The Group also promotes the constant search for solutions to reduce
the potential environmental impacts generated by its business
operations. For example, since 2011, Enaex has implemented a
carbon credit project under the United Nations Kyoto Protocol,
reducing CO2 emissions at its Prillex plant by around 800,000 tons
a year. This is the most important initiative of its kind in Chile.

Automotrices S.A. (SKIA), la que controla el 40% de las acciones de

Participación en las Ganancia de Asociadas y Negocios Conjuntos.
SKBergé es el mayor distribuidor en Chile, en términos de
ventas valoradas, resultado de una eficiente gestión comercial,
el compromiso de largo plazo con las marcas que representa
y la confianza que ofrece a sus clientes, a través de altos
estándares de atención y servicio. En Perú, la compañía también
ha consolidado su posición de liderazgo, siendo uno de los tres
mayores importadores de ese país.
Para dar soporte a su operación en Chile, la empresa posee modernas
instalaciones logísticas en Noviciado, comuna de Pudahuel, donde se
llevan a cabo labores de almacenaje de vehículos, procesos de pre
entrega, desabolladura y pintura, además de contar con un centro
de distribución de repuestos de 7.000 m2. El Centro Logístico de
Noviciado posee 24 hectáreas, con una capacidad diseñada para
almacenar 9.300 autos y procesar más de 200 vehículos al día.
SKBergé is the licensed distributor for a wide range of premium
brands, with an extensive network of sales, parts, and service
centers in Chile, Peru, Argentina, and Colombia. The company’s vast
experience in the automotive market dates to 1986, when it began
distributing the Italian brands Fiat and Lancia in Chile. Since then,
the company has continued to grow through its association with the
Spanish company Bergé Automoción in 2001, the incorporation of
new brands, and a strategy centered on regional growth.
Sigdo Koppers owns a share of SKBergé through its subsidiary
SK Inversiones Automotrices S.A. (SKIA), which controls 40% of
SKBergé. SKIA does not consolidate the financial statements of
SKBergé, so the net earnings of SKBergé S.A. are recognized under
Share in Income of Associates and Joint Ventures.
SKBergé is the largest distributor in Chile in terms of revenues,
as a result of an efficient commercial management, a long-term
commitment with the brands it represents, and a reputation
of reliability achieved through high standards of customer
service and support. In Peru, the company has also consolidated
its leading position in the industry, ranking among the three largest
importers in the country.
To support its operations in Chile, the company has a modern logistics
facility in Noviciado, an area of Pudahuel (Santiago), which handles
vehicle storage, pre-delivery processes, bodywork, and painting and
has a 7,000 m2 parts distribution center. The Noviciado Logistics
Center covers 24 hectares, with a designed capacity for storing
9,300 autos and processing over 200 vehicles a day.
SKBergé is also involved in automobile financing through indirect
ownership of Santander Consumer Finance in Chile and Peru
