“Castro-Guevarista” en nuestro subcontinente y el reciente restablecimiento de relaciones entre USA y Cuba,
entre otros muchos elementos que conforman este proceso, son analizados con el mayor rigor en este libro,
que desde ya debe considerarse un documento fundamental a un tema de tan espinosa comprensión. Gustavo
León nació en la ciudad de La Habana, el 10 de febrero de 1945, en el seno de una familia muy vinculada a
la política nacional, en particular al Partido Revolucionario Cubano (Auténtico) desde su fundación. A los 14
años emigró a los Estados Unidos de América para escapar del régimen castrista. Se graduó de médico en
1973, profesión que ha ejercido desde entonces con brillantes resultados. Paralelamente, Gustavo León es un
apasionado estudioso del devenir social, político y económico de la isla de Cuba, lo cual pone de manifiesto
en su programa “La cita con la historia”, que trasmite Radio Mambí al rallar el mediodía de cada sábado.
