La Fotografa es un medio
esencialmente comunicativo.
Permite hacer ver a otro lo que
t ves o has visto.
El fotgrafo para explicar
algo ha de saber escoger y
realizar la {orografa de la
manera que ms claramente
muestre lo que quiere
comunicar. Despus, se ha de
establecer un orden y, sobre
todo, no se ha de pretender
decir mucho, sino poco y bien
dicho.
As, Codcrch, utilizando
grandes aberturas del objetivo
fotogrfico, consegua ordenar la
foto: lo importante quedaba
enfocado y el resto desenfocado,
aunque tambin se haca
presente pero con la misin de
dar ambiente.
En su ltima serie de
fotografas taurinas, buscaba
sobre todo la plasmacin del
movimiento de la accin. Al
prolongar la imgen unos
instantes, antes y despus del
momento culminante, lograba el
efecto cinrico, un efecto
todava difcil de comprender.
Coderch, adems de un gran
arquitecto, era un buen
fotgrafo, y un fotgrafo muy
avanzado.

Photography is an essentially
communicative medium. It
allows one to let another
person see what one sees or has
seen.
The photographer, when ir
comes to explaining something,
has to know how to choose and
realise photography that
explains, in a more
understandable way, what he
wants to communicate.
Afterwards he must establish an
order and, instead of trying to
say too many things, say a few,
well-said things.
Thus Coderch, using wide
openings of the photographic
lens, managed to order the
photo: the main subject was in
focus and the rest, out of focus,
was also there, but merely
performing the function of
creating an atmosphere.
In his last series of bu11
photographs, what he sought
above al1 was to capture the
movement of action. By
prolonging the exposure a few
instants before and after the
crucial moment, he achieved the
kinetic effect, an effect which is
still difficult to undcrstand.
Coderch, besides being a great
architect, was also a good and a
highly advanced photographer.
