Así pues, la comunidad primitiva cristiana encontró puntos prácticos

para la realización de la transformación personal y la de las pequeñas
comunidades; por esto, el planteamiento comunitario y las acciones
de servicio, rompieron con las estructuras vigentes en su momento
histórico.
 PRINCIPIOS ETICOS

La comunidad se vivía en cuatro aspectos:

La comunión fraterna.
La comunión apostólica.
La comunión de la mesa del Señor.
La comunión en el compartir.

Así la ética de los cristianos desde el principio se sostuvo

sobre estos pilares.

El apóstol Pedro escribe: "Como hijos obedientes, no os conforméis a los

deseos que antes teníais estando en vuestra ignorancia; sino, como aquel
que os llamó es santo, sed también vosotros santos en toda vuestra manera
de vivir; porque escrito está: Sed santos, porque yo soy santo" (1 Pedro
1.14-16).

El apóstol Juan escribe: "El que dice que permanece en él debe andar como
él anduvo" (1 Juan 2.6).

En Romanos 8.5-6, el apóstol Pablo nos explica:

"Porque los que son de la carne piensan en las
cosas de la carne; pero los que son del Espíritu, en
las cosas del Espíritu. Porque el ocuparse de la
carne es muerte, pero el ocuparse del Espíritu es
vida y paz".

LO MINISTERIAL

Es el conjunto de normas escriturales que rigen los ministros cristianos

tanto en la esfera de las motivaciones como en la de sus acciones y que
determinan su conducta en relación con Dios, la sociedad, su familia, su
iglesia, la denominación a la que pertenece y las instituciones
cristianas.

Es importante notar que llamamos ministro a todo cristiano que desarrolla

un ministerio de liderazgo dentro de la iglesia, en su denominación, o
dirigiendo un ministerio o entidad de servicio.

Se ha ido estableciendo tenazmente un divorcio entre los

principios éticos y las realidades de la vida social, con
inmensas consecuencias destructivas del ideal mismo de una
civilización.

Lo grave es que ese relativismo moral y la filosofía hedonista

de nuestra decadente sociedad ha ingresado a las iglesias.

La sociedad

En los países latinoamericanos nuestros dirigentes no

son un modelo de conducta ética. La mentira, la vida
ostentosa, el fraude, la corrupción, la impunidad,
la falta de justicia y de seguridad y un nivel de
transgresión generalizado han creado un ambiente
de libertinaje.

Los medios masivos proponen disfrutar de la vida, pero sin

responsabilidad.

las mafias de la droga y la pornografía así como los

grandes emporios de la diversión, han abierto las puertas a
todo tipo de posibilidades de placeres sin pensar en el daño
que hacen.

Pareciera que el apóstol Pablo describe nuestra sociedad moderna cuando

dice:

"Estando atestado de toda injusticia, fornicación, perversidad, avaricia,

maldad; llenos de envidia, homicidios, contiendas, engaños y
malignidades.... quienes habiendo entendido el juicio de Dios, que los que
practican tales cosas son dignos de muerte, no sólo las hacen, sino que
también se complacen con los que las practican" (Romano 1.29-32; véase 1
Timoteo 3.1-5).
Frente a estas situaciones nos preguntamos: ¿Qué es correcto hoy? ¿Quién
lo determina? Nuestra sociedad no puede. Sabemos que como cristianos
evangélicos esa es nuestra responsabilidad, pero ¿tenemos la capacidad y la
disposición para hacerlo? Jesús dijo que somos la sal de la tierra, pero que si
la sal pierde sus propiedades y no cumple su función "no sirve más para
nada, sino para ser echada fuera y hollada por los hombres" (Mt
5.13). ¿Estaremos perdiendo nuestra capacidad de ser sal?
