Command: an authoritative direction or instruction to do something

To form a tú command, simply use the present tense él/ella form of the verb.

Trabajar = to work Correr = to run Manejar = to drive

Work! = ¡Trabaja! Run! = ¡Corre! Drive! = ¡Maneja!

In Spanish, some verbs have irregular command forms.

For “-go verbs”, you can use the yo form in the present tense to
help you form some of the irregular commands.
Simply drop the –go ending.

poner yo pongo pongo pon (put!)

tener yo tengo tengo ten (have!)
decir yo digo digo di (say!/tell!)
salir yo salgo salgo sal (leave!)
venir yo vengo vengo ven (come!)

Hacer, ser, and ir have irregular tú command forms that must be memorized.

ser sé If you use a direct object pronoun with an
ir ve affirmative command, attach it to the end of
the command.
Lucas, ¡hazlo ahora!

When a DOP is added to the end of a

command with 2 or more syllables, put an
accent over the third vowel from the end.
