INSTRUCTIVO DE OPERACION PARA TERMOBAÑOS

NOTA IMPORTANTE: Para obtener un servicio satisfactorio de su Termobaño es INDISPENSABLE leer

muy bien y seguir las instrucciones de este instructivo de operación.

DESEMPACADO E INSPECCION
Maneje el equipo con cuidado pues golpes fuertes pueden causar daño al mismo. Este equipo es
empacado especialmente con espuma de poliuretano para evitar daños durante el transporte, sin
embargo es recomendable que al recibirlo se revise; en caso de detectar golpes en la caja,
desempacarlo en presencia del transportador o asentarlo en el talón de embarque para hacer efectivo

INTRODUCCION
Los TERMOBAÑOS FELISA están disponibles en modelos con control análogico o con control digital,
todos los modelos tienen el elemento calefactor inmerso dentro de la tina de acero inoxidable para
mejor eficiencia en la transferencia del calor. Todos los modelos tienen un rango de operación desde
temperatura ambiente +5 a 100 °C y operan con un sensor de tipo electrónico de muy alta calidad y
precisión. Los MODELOS ANALOGICOS cuentan con una perilla para el control de la temperatura. Los
MODELOS DIGITALES cuentan con un programador-indicador microcontrolado, están equipados con
display de alto brillante con una resolución de 0.1°C y se pueden operar con o sin timer
programado..

INSTALACION
Lea la placa de especificaciones adherida al gabinete del equipo por la parte trasera para conocer el
voltaje requerido y la potencia de operación, conecte el equipo a un contacto adecuado para dichas
especificaciones. Es indispensable también que el contacto sea tripolar y debidamente aterrizado. El
Termobaño puede colocarse sobre cualquier superficie plana y firme dejando al menos un espacio de

LLENADO DE LA TINA
Antes de operar su Termobaño es indispensable llenar de agua limpia (si es desmineralizada mejor) la
tina hasta un máximo de 3 cm del borde superior y un mínimo de 5 cm. El elemento calefactor siempre
deberá estar inmerso en el agua. Es importante también que periódicamente y dependiendo de la
continuidad en su uso, se reemplaze el agua de la tina por agua limpia.

OPERACIÓN DEL TERMOBAÑO ANALOGICO

Para su operación es necesario contar con un termómetro con rango mínimo de 100 °C y colocarlo
en el portatermómetro (4). Encienda su Baño con el interruptor piloto (27), ajuste la perilla de
control (29 ) a la temperatura deseada, el led de ciclo (28) permanecerá encendido hasta alcanzar la
temperatura programada. Posteriormente encenderá en breves intervalos cuando el control
aplique energía al elemento calefactor.

Verifique si la temperatura en el termómetro es la temperatura deseada, en caso contrario reajuste

la perilla. Es necesario esperar un tiempo aproximadamente de 35 minutos a que el Termobaño se
estabilice para hacer los ajustes de temperatura. La experiencia en la operación de la perilla de
control permitirá al usuario identificar las posiciones para determinadas temperaturas. Si va a
trabajar siempre con la misma temperatura, una vez establecida la posición para esa temperatura
apague y encienda su Termobaño sin mover la perilla y siempre tendrá esa misma temperatura.

OPERACIÓN DEL TERMOBAÑO DIGITAL

A) Secuencia de Encendido y Auto-revisión

El Termobaño digital cuenta con un sistema de autodetección de errores, él cual detecta las fallas
mas comunes en este tipo de equipos. Cada vez que se enciende su Termobaño el sistema realiza
una auto-revision, esta consiste en revisar los puntos cruciales para el funcionamiento correcto del
sistema.

Encienda su Termobaño con el interruptor piloto (27). El interruptor deberá iluminarse y en el

display aparecerá por un segundo el numero 8888, el sistema realiza la autorevisión y después se
escuchará un beep.

Si todo es correcto, aparecerá en el display la temperatura que en ese momento tiene el agua e
iniciará el programa establecido. Si el sistema detecta alguna falla presentará en el display el
mensaje “ErrX” donde la X puede ser un número del (0) al (7), según el error encontrado de acuerdo
a la lista mostrada abajo y la alarma auditiva se activará.

Oprimiendo el botón de incremento ( ) el sistema vuelve a realizar la secuencia de encendido,

pero si el mensaje de error persiste, entonces deberá apagar su equipo y comunicarse con un
Distribuidor autorizado o directamente a nuestra Planta.

B) Selección de la temperatura de trabajo

El Termobaño cuenta con un menú sencillo con el cual usted podrá configurar el modo de trabajo
del sistema. Dicho menú puede ser accesado sólo si el interruptor con llave (31) está en la posición

Presione la tecla de menú ( ) y enseguida se presentará el mensaje “SP” (set point) por dos segundos
y luego presentará la última temperatura programada. Con las teclas de incremento ( ) y de
decremento ( ) Usted puede ajustar este valor para fijar la temperatura de operación requerida,
oprima luego ( ) para guardar el valor e ir al siguiente paso.

C) Programación de la Alarma de Sobrepaso

Una vez seleccionada la temperatura de operación aparecerá en el display por unos segundos el
mensaje “SPAH” y luego aparecerá la temperatura de disparo de la alarma. Para modificar este valor
use nuevamente las teclas de incremento ( ) y de decremento ( ), el valor deberá ser al menos un
grado mayor que la temperatura de operación. Oprima luego ( ) para guardar el valor y pasar al
siguiente paso.

D) Programación del Tiempo de Operación

El Termobaño cuenta con un timer con capacidad de 99 horas y 59 minutos, el cual puede ser activado
o desactivado según se requiera.
Al entrar a este paso del menú en el display aparecerá el mensaje “tr” y enseguida el estado en que se
encuentra el timer: “On” activado, “Off” desactivado.
Si usted desea que el sistema trabaje con tiempo programado deberá seleccionar la opción “On”
presionando la tecla de incremento. Si por el contrario desea que el sistema trabaje sin tiempo oprima
la tecla de decremento para fijarlo en “Off”.
Una vez hecha su selección oprima la tecla menú para grabar y continuar con la programación del
sistema. Si dejó activado el timer el menú lo llevará al establecimiento de las horas y minutos de
trabajo, si dejó desactivado el timer automáticamente pasará a la configuración de la Alarma auditiva.

Programación del timer: el display presentará el mensaje “hh” y enseguida las horas que tiene
programado el sistema, para ajustar este parámetro oprima las teclas de incremento o decremento.
Usted puede seleccionar de 0 a 99 horas. Una vez seleccionada la cantidad de horas presione la tecla
menú, en el display aparecerá el mensaje “mm” y enseguida los minutos que tiene programado el
sistema, para ajustar los minutos utilice las teclas de incremento o decremento, usted puede

E) Configuración de la Alarma Auditiva

El Termobaño cuenta con una alarma auditiva que el usuario puede activar para que cuando el sistema
presente alguna falla, independientemente que en el display aparece el mensaje de error
correspondiente, dicha alarma suene avisando que existe alguna anomalía en el sistema.

Al entrar en esta parte del menú, el display presentará el mensaje “BEEP” por dos segundos y luego el
estado actual de la alarma auditiva, “On” activado, “Off” desactivada. Con las teclas de incremento o
decremento puede seleccionar el estado requerido de la alarma.
Al terminar su selección presione la tecla menú, el sistema apagará el display, activará la alarma
auditiva por un corto tiempo indicando que la configuracion del sistema fue terminada e iniciará la
operación.

SECUENCIA DE OPERACION
Cuando el sistema inicia su operación requiere de un tiempo para alcanzar la temperatura
programada y estabilizarse. Al llegar por primera vez a la temperatura programada espera el tiempo
necesario para estabilizar la temperatura (aproximadamente 35 minutos) y cuando esto sucede activa

Cuando el tiempo programado se terminó, la alarma auditiva comenzará a sonar, si esta fué activada,
no habrá mensaje de error y el sistema continuará controlando la temperatura. Para desactivar la
alarma auditiva presione la tecla de decremento.

Cuando el sistema está estable y el led de Ok activado, si la temperatura sobrepasa la establecida en la

alarma de sobrepaso, automáticamente el sistema presentará el mensaje de error en el display, activará
la alarma auditiva y suspenderá el calentamiento; para reestablecerlo deberá oprimir por dos

Cuando requiera operar el Termobaño a temperaturas superiores a 75°C es necesario el uso de la

tapa, en esta forma se puede operar hasta 100 °C, obteniendo además una mayor uniformidad y un
considerable ahorro de energia.

CALIBRACION
El Termobaño fué calibrado en nuestra Planta usando referencias confiables y certificadas, sin
embargo el transporte, la temperatura ambiente o condiciones especificas de ubicación, pueden
afectar esta calibración.

Si usted cuenta con un termómetro confiable o calibrado, puede calibrar su Termobaño contra esa
referencia de la siguiente manera: Programe su Termobaño a la temperatura de operación mas
frecuente. Coloque su termómetro calibrado en el portatermómetro (4) teniendo precaución que el
sensor no toque el fondo. Espere a que se estabilice la temperatura y que el led de Ok esté encendido,
compare las mediciones del display y de su medidor, si existe alguna diferencia deberá proceder en
ese mismo instante de la siguiente manera:

Apague el Termobaño con el interruptor (27). Con la tecla de menú oprimida encienda el Termobaño y
en el display aparecerá el mensaje “CAL”, libere la tecla y enseguida aparecerá un número el cual indica
la temperatura.
Ajuste este número al valor de la temperatura indicada en su Termómetro con las teclas de incremento
o decremento. Una vez ajustado oprima la tecla de menú y su Termobaño quedará calibrado contra su
referencia.

MANTENIMIENTO
Para comodidad del usuario los Termobaños FELISA cuentan con un sistema de Auto-revisión el cual
facilita la detección de elementos en mal estado. Es importante que si el sistema presenta alguna falla y
no se puede reactivar el equipo contacte a su Distribuidor autorizado o directamente a nuestra Planta.
Es importante también periodicamente reemplazar por agua limpia ( de preferencia desmineralizada)
el agua de la tina para evitar la formación de incrustaciones y sarro.

REPARACIONES
Como cualquier producto manufacturado, algunas partes de el Termobaño pueden dañarse después
de usarse por un tiempo. Para reemplazarlas, use siempre partes genuinas de fabrica. Una lista de
partes es proporcionada en este instructivo. Todas las refacciones pueden ser ordenadas con nuestros
distribuidores o directamente a Felisa.

ELEMENTO CALEFACTOR

Elemento calefactor de Niquel-Cromo montado dentro de la tina, obteniendo con esto una alta
eficiencia en la transmisión del calor. Todos los elementos calefactores se deben considerar como
perecederos y por tanto reemplazables, sin embargo, un cuidado razonable extenderá grandemente la
vida de los mismos. Como el fabricante no tiene control sobre el uso y cuidado de estos elementos, no
se otorga garantía sobre los mismos.

NOTAS IMPORTANTES

- Nunca opere su Termobaño sin agua suficiente en la tina.

- Retire el agua de la tina si no va a operar el Termobaño por un largo periodo.
- No llene la tina por arriba del nivel máximo para evitar derrames y como consecuencia, posibles
fallas en los controles y oxidación en los componentes.
- No cambie de posición el sensor de temperatura.
- Conecte siempre el equipo a un contacto tripolar y debidamente aterrizado.
- Variaciones de voltaje pueden dañar los componentes electrónicos.

The care you take in reading and following this instruction will probably determinate the
satisfactory service you will receive from your Water Bath.

UNPACKING
Carefully remove the Water Bath from the shipping case. Preserve all paper work for future reference.
If damage has occurred from shipment a claim must be filled with the carrier immediately; preserve
the shipping container for inspection by the carrier. Contact your dealer or Felisa.

INTRODUCTION
FELISA digital Water Baths are equipped with a digital microprocessor-based control with
high quality brilliancy display, a maximum temperature up to 100 ºC and a resolution of 0.1 °C.
You can operate your digital Water Bath with or without timer. Analogic Water Baths are equipped
with a control knob for the temperature control. All models operates with a electronic sensor , and
have the heating element inside the water tank.

INSTALLATION
Install your Water Bath using a connection of the adequate voltage. See the label specification before
connecting. The equipment can be installed on any surface or table sufficiently firm and strong,
leaving a minimum space of 10 cm between the Water Bath and any other vertical surface. Keep the
area around free of any material to allow ventilation in the area of the bottom. For correct operation
it is necessary that the user becomes familiarized with all the available controls and specifications
shown in each model.

TANK FILLING

OPERATION TEMPERATURE
Your Water Bath is designed to operate satisfactorily to temperatures that do not exceed 100 °C. If
this temperature is not exceed the Water Bath will provide a long trustable service. The minimum
operation temperature can’t be less than 5 ºC above the ambient temperature.

ANALOGIC WATER BATH OPERATION

For its operation it is necessary to have on hand a thermometer with a minimum range of 100 °C,
placed in the thermometer holder ( 4 ). Turn on your Water Bath with the pilot switch (27). Adjust the
control knob (29) to the desired temperature. The led indicator will turn on and remain on until
reaching the programmed temperature, afterwards it will turn on when the control applies energy to
the heating element.

You have to wait 35 minutes approximate in order that the Water Bath become stable. Verify if the
temperature in the thermometer is that you want, if not, readjust the control knob. The experience in
operation using the control knob will allow the operator to identify the exact position for different
temperatures. If you are going to work with the same temperature we suggest that once you have the
control position for that temperature turn off the Water Bath without moving the control knob and
you will always have the same temperature.

DIGITAL WATER BATH OPERATION

a) Auto-revision and turn on of the system

The Felisa Digital Water Bath has an error auto-check that let you know from the most common failures
of the system, therefore the user can be sure that the Water Bath is working in optimal conditions.
Every time you turn on the equipment, the system auto test most of its components. This test is a
revision of the crucial features of the system.
The display present for two seconds the number “8888” at the same time, the audible alarm is activated.
After this, the display turns off and the system starts the internal test. If all the features are all right then
the Water Bath will present in the display the water temperature. If any of the features fail, the display
will present the message “ErrX”. Where the X is replaced by a number from 0 to 7 depending of the error
detected. The audible alarm will turn on. Press the increase button to restart, if the error persist you
should contact or send the equipment to our Plant or any authorized Distributor.

b) Setting the working temperature

The Water Bath has a simple menu that allows you to configure the working mode of the system. This
menu is accessible when the key switch (31) is in the open position, otherwise you won`t be able to
change the configuration that is established at that moment.
Press the menu button, the display will present the message “SP” (Set Point) for two seconds and then
the configure temperature. With the increase or decrease buttons you can modify this parameter to the
desired operation temperature, then press the menu button to continue with the configuration and to
record the selected value.

c) Setting the overshoot alarm

At this point the display will present the message “SPHA” and then will present the temperature of the
overshoot alarm. This temperature will always be 1 °C higher than the set point temperature.
To modify the overshoot alarm use the increase or decrease buttons to set the desired temperature,
and then press the menu button to record and continue with the configuration.

d) Setting the Timer

The Water Bath has a 99 hours 59 minutes capacity timer which can be activated according to your
needs.
When you finish the configuration of the overshoot alarm, the display will present the message “ tr “ an
then the present configuration of the timer ( “On” or “Off” ).
If you want to work with the timer press the increase button to select the “On” option, if you choose to
work without the timer press the decrease button to select the “Off” option. When you have done your
selection press the menu button to record and continue with the configuration. If you active the timer,
the menu will show the setting of the hours, if not you will go directly to the configuration of the audible
alarm.

Setting the hours in the timer: the display will present the message “ hh ‘. To adjust the hours use the
increase or decrease buttons, you can go from 0 to 99 hours. When you finish the selection of the hours
press the menu button to record the new configuration in the system. Then the display will present the

f) Setting the Audible Alarm
The Water Bath has an audible alarm that can be activated if you wish, this alarm will sound when a
failure is presented in the system, as well as the display present the error message.
When you enter this section in the menu, the display will present the message “ BEEP “ for two
seconds and then the present status of the alarm ( “ On ” or “ Off “ ). With the increase or decrease
buttons you can select the configuration. When you finish your selection press the menu button, the
display will turn off, will be sound a little beep indicating that the configuration is finished.

OPERATION SEQUENCE
The system needs some time to reach the operation temperature and then stabilize. Approximately 35
minutes after the system reaches the set point temperature, the Ok led will turn ON, this indicates that
all the alarms are activated and the timer will start working in case you’d configured it previously.
When the time is finished the audible alarm will sound, there will be no error message and the system
will continue controlling the heating.

To turn off the alarm, press the decrease button. If the Ok led is ON and the temperature surpasses the
overshoot temperature, the system will present the error message, the alarm will turn on and the
Water Bath will stop the heating.

CALIBRATION
Your Water Bath was calibrated in our Plant with certificated references. However, transportation,
ambient temperature or specific operation conditions might affect these calibration. If you have a
reliable thermometer you can calibrate your Water Bath.
Program the equipment at your operation temperature, put the thermometer in the interior of the
water tank by the thermometer holder (4), wait until the temperature is stable and the Ok led is ON. At
this point, check the thermometer temperature against the display, if there is a difference you have to
calibrate your Water Bath. Turn off the equipment with the on-off switch (27), with the menu button
pressed turn on the equipment, the display will show “CAL” and then a temperature, adjust this
number to the thermometer reading using the increase or decrease buttons and then press the menu
button. Now your Water Bath is calibrated with your thermometer reference.

REPAIRS
Like any other manufactured product some parts of the Water Bath could be damaged after using for a
long time. To replace them always use original factory parts, a list of which is included in this User´s
Manual. Always order the parts with its corresponding number. All the parts can be ordered from any
Distributor or directly from our Plant.

IMPORTANT
- Do not overfill the water tank.
- Never operates the Water Bath with a low level of water.
- Do not saturate the water tank with material.
- Before to carry out any maintenance work disconnect the equipment from its source of energy.
- Do not change the position of the temperature sensor.
- Do not use your Water Bath without a ground connection.
- Voltage variations can damage electronic components. 9 / 10
 GARANTIA

Todos los productos fabricados por Felisa estan garantizados contra defectos en los materiales y
mano de obra por un periodo de un año a partir de la fecha de embarque.

Aquellos articulos que en su totalidad o en sus partes resulten defectuosos seran reparados o
repuestos sin cargo segun sea el caso y se entregaran LAB en nuestra Planta. Los motores electricos
estan garantizados de acuerdo con la politica del fabricante.

Esta garantia dejara de surtir efecto si se comprobase que los articulos han sido utilizados en forma
ajena para la cual han sido diseñados, de igual forma no cubrira los daños ocasionados durante su
transporte o los provocados por alteraciones hechas por personas no autorizadas por Felisa. La
responsabilidad maxima en ningun caso sera mayor que el valor del producto involucrado.

Felisa se reserva el derecho de hace cambios o modificaciones en sus productos sin previo aviso con
el fin de mejorar su presentacion y/o operacion.

All products manufactured by Felisa are guaranteed for one year from date of shipment from Felisa
plant. All those products returned within one year will be rebuilt or replaced under the guarantee
regardless of reason for failure. Electric motors are guaranteed according to the manufacturer
policies. Exceptions may be made by Felisa on particular applications where experience has indicated
so conditions are so unusual that premature failure can be expected. Transportaion charges in all
cases will be at customers expense. Maximum liability in no case will exceed the value of the Felisa
product involved.

Felisa has the right to change or modify the products in order to improve their presentation and/or
operation
