Solidarity is a feeling of unity that moves us to give without expecting to receive anything in
return.
good afternoon teacher and students today my group and I are going to present a roleplay
about solidarity, this roleplay is titled: we have to be the change we want to see in the world.
Character 4: a young man/boy, who had left home without a sweater and it started to rain
(Sebastian Rosillo)
The scene begins in a park and a young woman ( character 1),is carrying a bag and looking for a
place to sit because she went for a walk in the park and was tired and hungry, in the distance
she sees a bench and walks to sit on it, then takes out of her bag a sandwich ready to eat it but
suddenly an old man whose clothes were not in good condition sits next to her, the young
woman seeing in such a state the old man offers him his sandwich.
Dialogue:
P2 (AN): Good afternoon young lady, I'm very hungry, I went to all the stores looking for a job,
but nobody wants to give me one because I'm old.
P1:(NV): Oh I'm so sorry, eat this sandwich for me to give you strength in your search for a job.
The old man after receiving the sandwich began to eat it desperately, while the young woman
gave him encouragement and comfort with warm pats on the shoulder, then the old man
(character 2) shyly thanked him and left the place.
P1 (AN): thank you young lady for the sandwich, I will continue looking for a job.
P2:( NV): it was nothing, good luck, good bye.
Some time later the young girl was still sitting on that bench, she was still hungry but knowing
that the old man needed it more she did not take much importance, however with the sun she
was very thirsty and decided to take a bottle of water from her bag, and when she was going
to drink the water, she saw a young girl (character 3) who was running through the park
exercising and who looked very tired and therefore the heat for the young girl was felt with
greater intensity so the character 1 decided to approach and give her the bottle of water to
drink:
P1: (NV): hello I saw you from that bench and you looked very tired and thirsty take this bottle
of water to cool down
P3:(LV): oh don't worry, it's not necessary I'm fine I'm going to take one more walk and go
home and drink some water.
P1:( NV): it's no problem for me, I insist take this bottle of water you can get dehydrated and
faint with this strong sunshine
P3:(LV): ok thank you very much, I will keep on running, thanks again
After receiving the bottle the young athlete keeps running through the park and character 1
decides to walk around the park for a while.
After walking for a while in the park the weather starts to change and it starts to get cold,
character 1 remembers that he has a sweater in his bag and starts to look for it but when he
takes it out to put on the sweater a boy/teenager appears shivering with cold, character 1
gives his sweater to the boy so he can put it on.
P4:( SR) hi, I'm fine but very cold, I came with some friends here to the park but I forgot my
sweater, I didn't think it was going to rain.
P1:( NV): oh so I see, take this sweater to keep you warm until you get home, you might get
sick
P4:( SR): really, thank you very much, I was really cold.
P4:(SR) thank you again, bye I'm going home before it rains.
Some time after that encounter with the boy small drops of rain began to fall, then he took out
his umbrella and sat down again on the previous bench, when in the distance he saw a young
girl running who covered herself only with a sheet to avoid getting wet so he quickly
approached her and shared the umbrella with her however the girl had to go to work so the
character 1 gave her his umbrella so she would not get wet.
DIALOGUE
P1:(NV)hi, I saw you in the distance and noticed that you are getting wet because of the rain,
and I wanted to share my umbrella with you.
P5:(KL) really thank you very much, I have a very important meeting today and I didn't think it
was going to rain.
P5:(KL) thank you very much indeed but I have to go now or I will be late for work.
P1:(NV) oh I understand, here you can take my umbrella, I'm going to take shelter in that tent
until the rain stops
P5:(KL) bye
A few days later, the young woman sat again on the same bench and took out a book to read,
without realizing that a thief was watching her from afar, while she was reading, the thief
approached her little by little and when he was close, he pointed a gun at her.
DIALOGUE
P6: (WC) this is a robbery and if you don't want to die give me that purse.
The young woman, frightened by the situation, quickly handed over the purse, but the girl who
she had found that time in the park together with the boy quickly approached the young
woman to help her, while the other girl to whom she lent the umbrella called the police and
the old man hit the thief with his cane.
P3:(LV) Hey you, what are you doing, let's call the police.
P5:(KL) Hello with the police, there is a robbery going on in Guayaquil park please come

The thief wanted to run away but the other people grabbed him until the police came, when
the police arrived they took the thief and the others helped the girl.
