could have + participio Ya has visto que should se utiliza para decir lo que creemos
Indica que se pudo haber hecho algo en el pasado pero que que se debería hacer, dar un consejo o una opinión. Pues
finalmente no se hizo. had better (o la contracción 'd better) es otra forma muy
coloquial de expresar lo mismo.
can't / couldn't have + participio
Afirmativa: sujeto + had better + verbo en la forma base.
Expresa la certeza de que algo no pudo haber ocurrido. Significa "Es mejor que" + un verbo en presente de
may / might have + participio subjuntivo.
Se usan para hacer una suposición de un hecho pasado. You'd better sit this game out.
(Es mejor que no participes en este partido.)
must have + participio
Negativa: sujeto + had better + not + verbo en la forma
Expresa una conclusión lógica de un hecho pasado. base.
should / ought to have + participio You'd better not do extreme sports.
Con ambos podemos tanto quejarnos de lo que ocurrió (Es mejor que no practiques deportes de riesgo.)
como lamentarnos de que no se haya cumplido lo que Interrogativa: no se suele usar en interrogativa.
